Is there a light petting too?

Could just be the fact that it's so old, but the term petting as a euphemism for intercourse feels so disconnected it's actually funny. Even hanky-panky feels like it's more sexy and mysterious.

>the difference between petting and heavy petting
Petting is caressing and light groping. Heavy petting is fingering and full on kneading.
At least that's the distinction I got when an older teacher reprimanded me for heavy petting when I was fingering a girl behind the library back in school.
