It's the only US institution still in the Nature Index top 15.

Why is Trump so intent on destroying top US research and educational institutions? It seems to me like shooting the golden goose to death because it wouldn't obey. The US can't possibly prevail in a cold war against China if it acts like this, and potential allies are going to lose faith in the US' ability to win
