4chins will be back up shortly. I'm sure all of you redditors will be checking constantly.
I, personally, will not go to the soiboi site in the interim even though my game's general went there because they have some vpn blocker thing going on and I don't like it. I seriously doubt many of these users are using a vpn for that site, and that's concerning.

Looks like they have done almost nothing on the site for an entire decade.
What makes you think they can recover from a hack like this?

1) Source code was accesed. Nothing stops hackers from releasing it later. Admins in theory could fix it, but in practice have only done april fools jokes since moot sold the site.
2) User info was taken. Hacker has said there are no plans on releasing the info, but there's always a risk.
3) Mod and janitors personal details were revealed. Even if the site goes back, mods might not want to.
It's not clear if 4ch will come back, if it will come back the same as it was or when will it happen.
The userbase still exists, though. Some have gone to soyjack party and the site is very slow now.

What kind of info? This can obviously be used for blackmail in the future especially if they can link posts to high profile individuals.

I disagree this the largest longest downtime for that entire website ever, and the implications (mods/jannies doxxed) is substantial.
The big concern is all that moderation focus zeroing in on this place.

this place barely has fewer real posters than 4chan /pol/ did and after I get over the carnival spirit of the occasion and stop drinking gin and cokes I'll eventually start making threads here and see if we can't have a nice little thing again

Maybe it’s good all the worst users (low IQ) have their own containment. I can’t imagine getting a kick out of posting soyjaks on an emotional or intellectual level that would hold my interest long enough and could sustain a site. I can’t imagine that. That’s why I thought it was an AI. Politically soyjaks aren’t inherently interesting. Maybe to 12-15 year olds.

of course it's just my opinion.
nobody truly knows shit. just tiny fragments of it and everything everywhere is speculation.
but look around. passive cattle's everywhere.
the gov psyops can be exposed hardly enough, but good cattle just want farm pasture to eat and circus to enjoy.
they say it's an absurd just to gulp it down like good girls and come back doing exactly what they where conditioned to do.
SO, with that hard truth in hands, what is more likely to be the outcome?
4chan is back shortly.
4chan operations is back, maybe with new Mods/Jannies that now belong to the center/right - far right.

That's better anon, but not schizo enough to be true. Remember when they took 8chan down? It was clownery with a horsey woman crying in a headscarf. That was just in time for the glowbal pandemic. That was the first trumpet. The second trumpet was, well, we won't go into that now. Closing 4chan was the third trumpet. We all knew that. We were waiting. The 900 second timer was the trumpet tuning up, for those who had ears to hear.
