After years of dealing with corruption and mismanagement, I’m convinced that the only way things will change at IBEW Local 424 is if more of us speak out and demand accountability. I’ve shared my personal experience with the union’s failure to uphold its promises—misleading advice, unjust dues deductions, discrimination, and a lack of support for members who are simply trying to do their jobs. But my story isn’t unique—it's part of a much bigger issue that affects countless workers.

The union is supposed to be a voice for the voiceless—a system of solidarity, fair wages, job security, and respect. But instead, what we have is a leadership that prioritizes its own survival and control over the needs of its workers. From the mishandling of grievances to stonewalling legitimate complaints, it’s clear that IBEW Local 424 has gone rogue.

In my experience, they’ve misled me about my membership status, threatened me with legal action, and blacklisted me for trying to leave the union in good standing. I’m not alone in this—I know others have faced similar treatment, and it’s time to expose this corruption for what it really is.

What’s at stake? Our rights as workers, our ability to earn a fair wage, and our ability to trust the institutions that are supposed to protect us. If we don’t stand up now, we risk allowing this abuse to continue for another decade.

If you’ve experienced anything similar or have concerns about the state of IBEW Local 424, I encourage you to get involved, share your story, and join the conversation. It’s time we work together to take back control of our union.

Solidarity forever, and let's hold these leaders accountable. 💪⚡
