I hate to admit I did not prepare in time and will have to take the Native American approach; that of remaining light and mobile. I know, look what happened to them! Get an inverter that fits your preps w/ the cables, 12V lithium ion battery and a proper 12V lithium solar trickle charger.
You need 1000 watts to power up a dozen LED lights.
You need 2000 watts to power up one deep freezer.
You need 5000 watts to power up a couple deep freezers and have a little extra light.
If you want to go all out, you'll need a 10Kw multi-inverter setup with dozens of lithium 12Vs chain-linked properly to power up your home for a while off-grid. However, that takes a lot of money and time to set up.

As far as rodent problems I have dozens of totes that are sealed to store my food in. Not the canned but bagged food like flour, sugar, pasta, rice, nuts, grits, oatmeal and such which the mice can easily get to.

You'll want hardcore DIY entry point fortification for windows and doors! You'll also want thick black blankets to cover all the windows (so snipers can't see in) as well peepholes installed along the home to look out safely from inside!!! You'll also want night vision detection for yourself and mounted motion detection lights pointed near ANY wooded areas! This will blind the snipers' view and alert you someone is out there!
