There is an issue with defining "God" as a mind, as a mind has no precedent for existing outside of a physical mechanism such as a brain, there is no precedent for your definition of "God".

Minds are what brains produce, if you knock out a part of a brain, the corresponding part of the mind is also knocked out with it.

furthermore, even if a mind could exist outside of a physical body, there are other components of a physical body that it would need to manifest itself in any meaningful way.

For example, if it lacks a comunication to sense organs, that would mean that it could not sense it's surroundings, if it lacks a connection to any system that can move a physical body, it cannot physically affect anything around it or being affected in turn.

The two of these things also come up in the discussion of afterlives, like heaven or hell, if you lack all the means to experience any of it, then what is the point of caring about which one you end up in?

On a similar note, if a mind has no means of manifesting itself or even perceiving the world around it, then what is the point of debating whether such a mind exists?

Consciousness is not physical, it is vaguely defined and emergent from a physical source that produces it, such as a brain, consciousness is in fact imply a state of the brain, it is not a thing itself.

Saying it is physical is like saying "health is physical", no, health is not physical, it is vaguely defined, it is a state of your physical body, it is emergent from it, and it does not exist outside of it.
