Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've noticed over the last 10 or so years a radical shift in the conversations of the world. I've come to believe that governments all over the world caught on early to the new "social media" trend that started awhile ago and are using it to influence all our decisions and feelings.

See what I think is happening is the governments realized they could easier control people by directing social media trends via the internet, much easier to do then by TV and Newspaper and with a much larger audience. At first they had a hard time because the internet was more closed off, smaller groups of people. As more and more people got access they needed to make sure they had a firm grip on it. It's hard to believe anything I see that's "trendy" is truly natural, it must be forced by government entities.

So am I just being paranoid? It just seems like there's a lot of weird sudden changes going on that don't seem natural

Maybe you're right. I mean we all know these people have had to go to congress multiple times, I mean for a "social network" that seems very odd honestly, a website that's supposed to be simply for sharing pictures of your new cat to friends, now testifying before congress?????? It seems very very strange that highest governing body in the land would want you to answer questions…..only reason I can figure is if the government was already involved and something we're not being told is the real reason
