Well the lockdown stuff made a lot of changes. Not really the kind of changes I'd have hoped for. Still I made better connections with people through lockdown since it forced them to be social for once and try to use their brains. Some have fully opted for watching tv and their smartphones. Which is a bad decision and is just more brainwashing, but who can help out the median person I guess.
The big norm and cultural shifts happened in 08 with the crisis. Anti wallstreet and big capital protests were infiltrated and shut down. Corps realized they could produce low effort shit for a low budget and still sell it. It's why most new products in any industry between 2008-2010 were just garbage. But the shift in attitudes really accelerated with the introduction of smartphones + social media. It seemed that with more specialized forums the internet was a place where smarter people gathered and a change in social programming happened in those who used it. However social media is even worse than the education system + mainstream media in delivering indoctrinated retards. Social media grew really big over the last 10 years to the point almost everyone in the west is using i.

Also another thing I miss is getting news from different places in Europe. It's really hard to get news from various European countries since most of the news is in local language. Rarely discussions in English happen as well about the state of countries from internet users. It offered glances and interesting perspectives that you couldn't really easily get on other places on the web.

Site itself was hidden from search engines I remember. It was still open but it worked.
