Gentlemen,
I would like to start a thread regarding specific philosophical quotes and memes. In particular, I am looking for one specific quote that I have seen before but cannot remember who spoke it. It was a quote about the balance of power and rights of the oppressive class and oppressed class and how, with the distribution of "right" the oppressive class then loses their own rights while the oppressed class gains those rights. I can't remember the exact quote but it's been bugging me for weeks now and I am asking you for help in this endeavor. Please assist if possible. Thank you.

Do you remember the era of the quote or the context? Was it discussing early communist uprisings (~1840s), or something more modern?

Thanks for the reply. More than likely, it was. It has been some time since I've seen the quote, so I couldn't exactly tell you, but I'm fairly certain it was mid 19th century.
