Yes, the EU is a puppet organisation, but not british lead, but USA lead.
The whole point of the european union is US domination. French was the dominant diplomatic language in europe. Now it's english. It's still english after UK going out of europe. Historically, De Gaulle wanted to keep UK and USA out of europe at the start, but germany, in exchange of submitting themselves to USA, brought them back. In exchange, they would be the local leaders of europe.
The creation of europe has been encouraged and led by the CIA. Every countries that joined europe were on the impulsion of USA. USA is pushing for Turkey to join the european union for exemple since a long time now.
On of the goal of the european union is to match their borders with the NATO borders, ie. trying to make match the millitary and political power. The goal is to keep western europe under the umbrella of USA for USA profit only.
People have to understand that USA did colonised europe after WW2. They never have let go, it's just that the modern way of colonisation is a soft colonisation, through soft power (for exemple, imposing hollywood movies in europe after the Marshall plan).
Russia and China are fighting hard against this US control by promoting eurasia movements, talking about the eurasiatic bloc.
Truth is that europe is just a big puppet, a bag of rich consumers, that these powers want to control. That's as sad as it sounds. Europe have no geopolitical power. USA has taken it all after WW2.
The fact that UK is getting out of europe just shows that the crash is imminent, and that UK might constitute itself as a safe heaven for the richest, since the whole european economy will fall on the german economy (TARGET 2).
