we live in a time when the contemporary generation is focused on emotional self-actualization. People want to feel emotionally positive. Their interactions with others, are expected to be based on saying and doing things, that maximize the pleasant emotions induced in others and yourself. Having hard, cold standards of behavior are viewed as evil because they shift focus from inducing and experiencing these emotions, to having externally-applied requirements for your conduct that you are compelled to measure up to, with unpleasant consequences if you do not.

Having moral or legal standards of behavior are therefore wrong. Having pass-fail criteria in schools are wrong. Having laws and police are wrong. Having moral codes of religion are wrong. All that matters is that you do what you want, others do what they want, no one is critical of anyone else, no one says anything hurtful, no one does anything hurtful, and that's all that matters.

All of these riots appear to be heading to a terminal end point of mass anarchy.
