I don’t expect that Mr Liddle would repeat this remark in public!
Abu Hamza is currently serving a seven-year sentence for incitement to
murder, and awaits extradition to the USA on terrorism-related charges.
Interestingly, an associate of mine released from H.M.P. Garth in 2006
informed me that Abu Hamza was corresponding with a Palestinian serving
a 45 year sentence there for attempted murder. This involved giving his
pregnant (Irish) girlfriend a disguised bomb to take on board a flight to

**JC frickin' wept, this board is dysfunctional - I just tried uploading file referenced below and after repeatedly getting to 3% it hangs. So here's my message fwiw WITHOUT THE FILE :D

I just tried uploading a new scan of Evola - Revolt Against the Modern World (to replace the crap landscape lo-def pdf on archive.org) and after sending a 10MB DjVu the https url of this board rejected, saying extension unknown! wtf! You are severely limiting usefulness if DjVu is not accepted.
DjVu is better for image scans as much smaller size than pdf and same or better quality.
Also, for anyone thinking of scanning new material, please follow some simple guidelines before starting. It's heartbreaking just how much potentially good stuff there is out there that is no good because it was ineptly scanned, like say open book dual page scanned at 72dpi in trucolor!
1. always scan between 300dpi - 600dpi
2. even for black and white book pages, select greyscale scanning since this allows better image editing if it proves necessary. File will be bigger, but binding into DjVu will compress significantly.
3. if the paper is thin put a blank sheet behind the page as you scan so no bleed-thru. Tiresome but remember, quicker in the long run to get the best image you can before / without post-scan processing using graphics programs.
4. consider using post-scan processing like YASW (Yet Another Software Wizard) or ScanTailor to centre pages and cut out unwanted matter.
5. get a book edge scanner (available used) or one of the newer rostrum overhead scanners to avoid damaging books by scanning in open landscape mode which also produces blacked out margins. Ugh!
6. Don't make pdfs or DjVu files especially of old books which are just the OCR flowable text since it never works right and takes ages to do properly. If your time and resources are limited scan as tiff images and just bind them up into pdf or DjVu with or without searchable text layer. If the book is important or interesting enough there are people out there who know how to optimize it for wider readership. But it is almost impossible to fix files that are scanned at too low dpi and/or are just ocr text.

It says in your title "pdf upload stalls". What pdf were you trying to upload? The Racial Hybridity one? If it's 33MB it won't go through because our upload limit is a pitiful 12MB here.
If I could enable DjVu I would, unfortunately we don't have that functionality, we don't even have epub uploads. I could make a thread on /sudo/ to ask CM if he can add new file types and increase the upload limit. But there's some issues with doing that. The first is CM et al. don't seem to be around that much to work on the site, 2ch comes before us on the list of priorities. Plus I know he's already working on some new site functions for April. Second, I'm pretty sure the previous board owner here and many others have asked for an increase in file limit uploads but to no avail, despite CM saying that bandwidth is not an issue they won't even increase it to 16MB. I don't know why.
Also if I'm going to make the thread I need everyone who uses /pdfs/ regularly to come and support it. /sudo/ is full of autists, shitposters and goon saboteurs who find it funny to fuck with anyone who posts there no matter if their problems/complaints are legitimate.

Further thought - wondering if at least the initial upload might be accomplished more easily by (alternatively) making a torrent of the items and pasting a magnet link of the torrent here. That way you can get the books, evaluate them, bypass the upload file size and format limits and post them to IA, here or anywhere else you have access rights or feel deserves them?

If you're talking about the archive.org account I should just say that I don't own that. It belonged to the previous board owner but I left the link up because it's a good collection.
I haven't used linux for years and even then I was just a beginner I'm sorry to say, so I'm not really the one to ask.

W.A.C. Bennett was a very great man. The commies of the NDP portrayed him as an evil hypocrite and capitalistic scum bag but nothing could be further from the truth. I can agree with the other poster that it was scrubbed from archive.org, thats where I found this very copy in June 2018! Its no longer available as of September 2018.
