Dustin Cook, a vocational rehabilitation specialist at the Truman Veterans’ Hospital, is working to connect veterans to services that target their mental health. As an Army veteran living with post-traumatic stress disorder and a military lineage that dates back to the Spanish-American War in 1898, Cook understands the affect initiatives, like cognitive baseline testing, can have for military personnel.

This month, the U.S. Army deployed its first round of cognitive testing for its recruits at Fort Leonard Wood to establish a baseline for each soldier and track their cognitive health.
