No matter how carefully I strum or what position it is held in, my pick seems to keep getting "stuck" on strings. I'm officially retarded. Could it be the pick material that's causing the problem?

are you holding it 45 degrees? parallel it'll stick. 90 degrees it will sound sitar like and thin

It seems like it's depth then, your wrist when picking, or arm when strumming is angleing your pick inward to the strings. Is it stuck on the lower strings or higher strings?

You can use your body's natural lube by shoving the tip of your pick to your ass but you need to finger it to get the juices flowing.

honestly this. the greats all did it. bob dylan, the beatles, kiss. Lars Ulrich was a pioneer that brought back the style from Phil Collins early work.

What thickness pick are you using? Thicker ones are more suited to bass rather than guitar.

False. I use a 7mm pick made out of delrin for guitar and it's great
Hey OP try bigger and smaller picks like jazz 3s or something

Try using a thinner pick.
