The Bowie and ELP ones aren't ugly or necessarily terrible, and did you post the fat guy on accident?

Bowie one looks pretty shit to me, the kind of thing you'd see on deviantart. ELP is worse due to context
>and did you post the fat guy on accident?
It's a Weezer album (Hurley).

It's a fruity pop art style from the early 2000s bro, not good or bad.

I was literally going to post Reality before opening the thread.
Pic related would be much better without the text.

I feel the same way about the cover for Sonic Youth's "Bad Moon Rising". Since you posted Gary Numan, the original cover for "The Fury" is pretty bad if you ask me (or him as well).

I actually don't really mind the Collective Soul debut's all that much other than the text. Blender, on the other hand, is a different story. It looks like an early 2000s boy-band release. I don't know if it's true, but I've read that that was an intentional joke on the part of the band. It's also supposedly not a very good album.
As for Killing Joke, Night Time has the same problem. Putting your face on the cover of your album is teeny-bopper tier.

Wasn't familiar with Collective Soul past the debut, but I kind of like intentionally shitty artwork. The debut just always looked badly shopped together to me.

I was actually going to post Night Time despite how good that album is. Funny how Outside the Gate has a better cover than both that and BTATS, but I think Coleman started getting an ego around that time so that might explain it.

>"We said we wanted an image of a glass dance floor in a discotheque which people were dancing on and beneath this, a lit room full of babies. It was meant to look like a still from a film – like some kind of dystopian vision of the future – but it just looks like they're treading on babies. We were quite upset but at that time, it was too late to change it."

All Marilyn Manson albums except for the first one have him on the cover.

Sonic Youth mostly blows but you can't deny that's an aesthetic album cover.

I wonder if anyone here is so into weird, fringe novelty that they can actually identify the source of this
I know what it is, just wondering if you all do :^)

This isn't fringe or at all obscure, one of that dude's songs went somewhat viral before YouTube deleted it.

It went viral as a "WTF Moment of the Week". This fictional character has been making music since 2003, along with the people that made "her", Yeast Radio, a gross-out comedy podcast (2002-present) and Insane Films (1998-Present). What's funny is that while this renewed interest in them, they originally reached internet fame when Ebaum's World shared their video "Cooking With Madge: Lesbians on Acid" which they later reuploaded onto their Insane Films Youtube as "Les Beans: Remastered".
Other than this, I really do think it is a fringe thing, touching numerous groups including the Homosexual and Drag Community, and extreme obscure Novelty. For example, in the 90's lots of people knew RuPaul's song "Superstar" due to it being a breakout success, but did they know (or want to know) much more than "This is RuPaul. This is a Drag Queen. He made a neat song. Look, he's on Arsinio Hall"?

As much as I like this album, this is just unpleasant to look at, and that's saying something when one of their other album covers is just a picture of a baby coming out of a vagina. It doesn't help that when you remove the disk from the case the picture's cropped and enlarged underneath.
