He's not really wrong, but the "blacks created all modern music" trope is a bit misleading. It was blacks creating highly white-influenced music in a society where they were under a lot more pressure to refine themselves according to white standards. Even coon songs, which were widely considered vulgar and tasteless back in the day, sound like high art compared to the monkey music that's so popular in this day and age.

Funny. Nirvana ruined music and none of the band members were black.

Black culture went from cool shit like jazz and funk to MUH DIK BIX NOOD music.
What really bothers me about a lot of new rappers is how many of them never produce their own fucking songs, they hire other people to do it. What kind of shit is that? How can you claim to be a musician if you don't make your own fucking music?

It's really interesting, though, and definitely true that the synthesis of western 'composed' music, African-American folk and spirituals and work songs, and European-American folk traditions was the defining event which led to music as we know it now.
It's honestly, I think, more complex than black people just having been under pressure to refine themselves, too - check out Lucille Bogan. Because of segregation, I think a lot of black people actually lived extremely fringe lifestyles at the time which were maybe even more alien from 'white' social norms - this is still true in ways, but it seems like in certain ways sexuality (at least) became more repressed for a while among black people in the leadup and aftermath of integration.
So now what you have in the aesthetics of popular music and today's 'party records' is the drugs and sex and crime and whatever are still there, but they're still working on letting the fags back in. Though, all that said, jazz was honestly wilder and less restrained even if Armstrong was doing Uncle Tom shit for the camera.

Yeah, there definitely was a lot of more taboo stuff going on under the surface than people seem to realize.

Whites are only 10% of the world's population and the only race in population decline (creating only 7% of the world's babies), yet are the most industrious and innovative race the world has known.
Whites unlocked the secrets of DNA and relativity, launched satellites, created automation, discovered electricity and nuclear energy, invented automobiles, aircraft, submarines, radio, television, computers, medicine, telephones, light bulbs, photography, and countless other technological miracles.
Whites were the first to circumnavigate the planet by ship, orbit it by spacecraft, walk on the moon, probe beyond the solar system, climb the highest peaks, reach both poles, exceed the sound barrier, descend to the oceans depths… Blacks cannot even feed themselves.
Whites created nations for Blacks, but now have to provide food, medical, financial, and engineering aid to every Black nation. Blacks cannot survive without White charity. No pre-contact Black society ever created a written language, or weaved cloth, or forged steel, or invented the wheel, or plow, or devised a calendar, or code of laws, or system of measurement, or math, or built a multi-story structure, or sewer, or drilled a well, or irrigated, or created any agriculture, or built a road, or sea-worthy vessel.
They never domesticated animals, or exploited underground natural resources, or produced anything that could be considered a mechanical device.
Blacks were still living in the Stone Age when Whites discovered them just 400 years ago. Blacks are the oldest race, so they should be the most advanced — but they never advanced at all. Sub-Saharan Africans never made any contribution to the world. Everything they have was given to them by Whites.
Blacks lived alone in Africa, a vast continent with temperate climates and abundant resources for 60,000 years so they cannot blame slavery, racism, colonialism, culture, environment, or anything else for their failures.
Simply, life is an IQ test.

I agree, they made rap which is probably the last relevant black only genre. It's shit since it doesn't innovate it just has similar sounds by similar artists in a genre that sounds the same. Lyrically it's boring and the only thing people like or seem to be attracted to is the flow and the sound design which are easy to replicate.Case and point the sound design is like free-ware beats, I know it's this because I follow a parody rap channel on youtube that uses these beats and they sound just like modern day rap songs. (look up liquid richard).
They used to be in rock music and varying genres to a point it felt like they were making what they liked or had a desire to fill a vaccum that their sound could fill. Like 2Limited and living color, it was music that had a unique melody that did more than just check off boxes in a checklist for music that is defined as "black".
Currently it has no heart and it's made to pander to retarded white kids and niggers that are 13yrs old. I know that sounds specific but that's a big demographic. It's just garbage to pander to idiots.

Rap is the most retarded genre in existence, how anybody over the age of 13 could listen to some manchild go "I can fuck anyone's bitch, I have a lot of currency, I'm not gay, but you are" is beyond me. The age old excuse, "I only listen for the production/I just like the beats." Yeah, right.
