My dear /mu/sicians, I bring some absolutely baffling news. LyricWiki, an invaluable repository of lyrical information that most here certainly have used at some point… is no more. I mean, it still exists, but it's locked – you cannot add or edit anything. The explanation provided was: Wikia's retarded snowflake management was triggered by people adding "offensive" lyrics. Yes, I said it's baffling!

I feel lost now, I used it all the time, added and edited tons of lyrics. And I don't know what good alternatives exist.

Are you kidding? There are tons of lyric websites out there. If you look up "[any popular song] lyrics" you'll find the same set of lyrics on tons of different lyrics websites.

Yes, but nothing seems to be *quite* like it. I mean, wikis, made so that you can easily get in and correct imperfections or add translations. And they often have that "modern" web design style with lots of white and low contrast, that crap just sickens me.

Another thing: I use this little program called iTunesLyricsGrabber that automatically grabs lyrics from that wiki and embeds them into my mp3 files. So I really could use alternatives to that as well. (Yeah, I know, iTunes blows, but I tried tons of players and liked none.)
