What's your dumbphone? I had a really nice SE W302 for 3 years before I got my first smartphone then I sold it then got another and now sold it as well, now I use 5 dollar nokia and I have a few spares plus that SE is boxed and "retired" for nostalgia's sake, it's also like brand new (they all are/were since I try to take good care of them.
Smartphones are useless unless you have a data plan or free wi-fi easily available where you go. I used mine only for games and Miku's App. Almost like a tablet actually.

That is absolutely true, I always just do my research a day or two before I buy, not like I buy expensive phones either so I don't care for the latest and greatest or brands just a nice quality/price ratio. I didn't use my last phone as a phone at all actually, I used my dumbphones for talking, I miss dumbphones, I like them better for calls.
You should be smart enough to have figured it out, I only ever said I care only for pics because people here hurt my feelings and I wanted to hurt them back. But I do care for pics quite a bit

I don't think that I'm just asking. I become easily an emotional wreck. The topic surfaced the other day during lunch break with my colleagues and I told them bout my neighbor that committed suicide and they laughed. I think laughter is a part of shock avoidance but I also heard remarks along the lines that they must have been a weak person. Disregarding any details I found their reactions a bit disturbing. Do you like Coldplay? They are one of those bands that will never come to my mind to mention if I get asked what kind of music I like. I saw the quote a few times on 4chan too. Didn't know it was from this movie.
It was an interesting take on the future, with all of the misconceptions from its time. They thought we would have flying cars by now and stuff. And the "enhance" part was laughable too, by today's standards.
The pacing seemed weird(bad?). It started out slowly, they hyped up the criminals but then a lot of things happened suddenly. The main guy was painted as some mastermind and great evil, but things accelerated so quickly by the end, it's like you barely got to know him.

I'm sorry I spoiled the ending for you.
I like the Final Cut better, I think it's more powerful for some reason. I think the Final Cut is more for fans who already know what's going on, while the original was the one that needed a bit more explanation for the audience.
The scene came really strong for me. I had only seen the gifs but not the scene with the music or the tears in rain part (that was improvised by the actor, by the way, he made it up on the stop)
It's based on a novel: "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" but I haven't read it, but supposedly it's so different it barely has anything to do with the movie so you can't really blame the movie being based on a book for the strange pacing. That didn't stop the publisher from renaming later re-editions of the novel to "Blade Runner" because of the strong movie following. Very misleading.
The ending was more symbolic or something. Like did you notice at the end he stuck a nail in his arm because it was hardening up because he was near death and how because of that before the jump he had a dove (peace) in one hand and a sharp point (war) in the other as if he was deciding what to do, whether to let Decker die or save him and he chose to save him and he did it with the "war" hand, then how the moment he was dead the dove flew out of his hand etc.

I don't remember, maybe he was admiring the dove, since he came from some outer-space slave colony it's possible he had never seen one and was admiring life, its beauty. Maybe why he decided to save Decker. One of the things that aren't clear is if he wanted to just frighten Decker a bit from the start or he decided to spare him at some later point. It's very powerful in the sense that he showed his ability for compassion, forgiveness and letting go, because up to that point it was implied that the synths were regarded for being very physically and mentally superior but missing something in their character, their reasoning that only regular humans have. It's how they recognized them by using some test that was supposed to test their emotional capabilities like longing, nostalgia and others, but all through the movie it was shown that they are no different even missing a childhood or a normal life or upbringing turns out they were still able to love and hate, fear and brave their captors etc.

Things have always been different shades of gray that I decided to act on depending on my morals and sense for compassion, rather than for kicks. I think those were two different MMs even if slightly and I cannot say if people genuinely disliked one or the people posting in it. I already mentioned, I don't want to open the topic on how they are different or how this place is different.
I think mostly it was bored people stirring up shit for kicks, I don't think anyone cared enough or genuinely had ill will towards milunes or "regulars" (what a funny name, at least for me), so there is no point for the communities to be separated. I always thought they would reunite eventually or something and thought of this place as /v/MM v2.0 (originally in purpose or at least in destiny if more people from there decided to come)

A thread is re-loaded every time, it's cached "once" and then overwritten with changes. Posts not appearing, server stuttering and so on is all an effect of large image files.
Not to mention that I can not make you experience how bad it is. I myself assumed it wasn't too much, but being capped at 1 Mbps made me realize how bad it actually is.
You're also greatly overestimating both the effort it takes and the required pace. In fact, with the proper software writing a post takes longer than compressing an entire folder of hundreds of images. (cmd -all jpg 70%)
In any case, a good way to start is compressing the image you're about to upload. Especially when you're uploading OC, which are the main offenders in my experience (especially because those can be greatly cut down with negligible quality loss).

You can't see the quality difference between a lossy .jpeg and lossless .png, if the .jpeg is encoded properly.
The server seems to pre-fetch the images before generating the thumbnails every single time. No idea why, as this is grossly inefficient. Image thumbnails of larger images will also take longer to interpolate. Merely opening and loading images is still an issue though and in some cases, with larger files, freeze the browser as it is waiting on the server to finish its response. (Client issue, but see below.)
Furthermore, it's good practice in general. If the majority of users on 8ch would properly encode or re-encode their files, we wouldn't have had server issues (improper architecture and poor system administration not withstanding).
Externalizing the issue does not resolve it. We can also blame artists for not properly encoding their files as well, but that won't make them magically fix it.
In any case, I'm not holding a gun to your head and saying you need to compress your files. Merely asking to consider it and giving an explanation on how to do it.

Refresh and reload are not the same thing. On a refresh the client "reconnects to the server to re-establish connection with the address and reload all the resources. A reload reloads the page, or some resources, and "checks" for new ones to add. In both cases the browser should load resources from temporary files on the machine, but that is after loading the page the first time.
It's there for the people that interested; these things are complicated and often can't be explained quaintly. It's upsetting you feel I'm writing "walls of text", merely trying to be sincere and informative.
