A major incident is unfolding at a Sydney shopping centre, with police confirming multiple people have been stabbed and a man shot.

Police say a critical incident has commenced following a mass stabbing and a shooting at Westfield Bondi Junction when the mall was packed with shoppers.

“A critical incident has commenced following the shooting of male at Bondi Junction,” said New South Wales Police on X.

”Just before 4pm emergency services were called to Westfield Bondi Junction following reports of multiple people stabbed.

“People are urged to avoid the area.”Inquiries are continuing in relation to the incident and there are no further details.”

There were reports of multiple stabbings with up to six people dead, the news organisation said.

A NSW police spokesperson told AAP there were reports that multiple people had been stabbed and one man had been shot.

“Paramedics are treating patients at the scene. Multiple posts on social media show crowds of people outside the shopping centre, with reports it is in lockdown.”

De Moraes has thrown people in jail without trial for things they posted on social media. He has demanded the removal of users from social media platforms. Now, Twitter Files, released here for the first time, reveal that de Moraes and the Superior Electoral Court he controls engaged in a clear attempt to undermine democracy in Brazil. They:

— illegally demanded that Twitter reveal personal details about Twitter users who used hashtags he did not like;

— demanded access to Twitter’s internal data, in violation of Twitter policy;

— sought to censor, unilaterally, Twitter posts by sitting members of Brazil’s Congress;

— sought to weaponize Twitter’s content moderation policies against supporters of then-president

- Brazil's biggest youtuber, Felipe Neto, who was once anti-Lula, has made a pro-Lula turn and helped Lula get elected last year for his third term. He joined a group at the Human Rights Ministry that critics call a Minitry of Truth, because it's hellbent in removing "fake news" and "hate speech." Lula's government, together with de Moraes' Supreme Court, has now about three different Ministries of Truth.

- It seems Felipe Neto had privileged access to some important people inside Twitter, to the point that, after complaining a lot that a tweet wouldn't be deleted, the Head of Public Policy came to Yoel Roth to make an appeal for the tweet's deletion. The tweet was made by journalist Allan dos Santos, who is now in exile in the USA. Later, Lula's government tried to convince the US government to send dos Santos back to Brazil. But when FBI officials saw a video by dos Santos at the Justice Ministry during a visit, they said "those are just words," not crimes like the Brazilian officials insisted. Because the USA has a First Amendment, Brazil doesn't.

- Yoel Roth was worried that, because dos Santos had achieved a small court victory against censorship on YouTube, this could happen again at Twitter. So he was managing the case carefully, trying to appear as though Twitter wasn't censoring dos Santos. When Roth comments on the tweet Felipe Neto didn't like was still up, he claims that blood clots and myocarditis after Covid vaccines are only "narratives." Now we now that THIS was the narrative.
