Me ten years ago:

>RE-ESTABLISH THE GOLD STANDARD.

>LET THE GOVERNMENT DEFAULT.

>ABOLISH MEDICARE/MEDICAID.

>ABOLISH THE ACA.

>ELIMINATE ALL CURRENCY CONTROLS.

>BRING ALL THE TROOPS HOME.

I'd be so fucking happy with just the following:

>TSA gets rid of the body scanners.

>Copyright law can not have even more years in length without a supermajority.

>Currency controls are inflation adjusted

I just want a little bit more freedom again :(. God, I just want to see things trend in a positive direction for once.

This world is so fucking depressing. Every year gets a little worse.

Imagine you're starving. No, not just starving, but you're surgically attached to an IV that sucks the nutrients out of your bloodstream to help feed a pack of jackals. Anytime you try to feed yourself you get shunned and tut-tutted for your greed, and if you ever try and remove or pinch shut the IV tube, a crowd appears to pry your hand away, all the while explaining how the IV is actually good for you because it keeps you from getting fat, and besides how would the jackals feed without the IV? Imagine every person who tut-tuts you has that exact same IV sucking their lifeblood out of them too, but make no mention of it at all and even appear confused when you call the IV an IV.

Yeah, I'd be pretty happy just to get table scraps at this point too.

Pretty much >>98512 honestly. Venezuela and the UK shows things can get much, much worse and nothing will happen. Things could get 100x worse and you could do nothing about it, so at this point getting some fucking cake crumbs would be a blessing.

Thank God I don't live in the UK. Where I'm at isn't much better, but it's fucked in different ways than the UK.
