This isn't to say that statism of any kind is good. It's just that when you examine the liberty movement closely, especially all the time and involvement you've invested, what have we voluntaryists accomplished? Sure you may have deconverted a few statists, but did we ever accomplish anything major? States are still destroying lives, and barely anyone's listening. All we get is constant frustration, constant depression, and constant suffering.
Mass movements only foster frustration from their supporters, and the liberty movement is no different. We spend so much time debating, deconverting, sharing memes, videos, articles, and so on, but none of it accomplishes anything significant. We're still frustrated and depressed with the world, but no matter what we say or do, it does absolutely nothing to liberate people. Is this because, despite our fruitless efforts, we seek a sense of comfort and company with the movement in the face of a cruel statist world?
Perhaps this is why apolitical people, especially artists, are the happiest people you'll ever meet. They feel confident and peaceful in they're lives, they take pride and a sense of accomplishment in having created something, whether it be art, music, a garden, or so on. They don't concern themselves with mass movements and politics, they're not the kind of people to bombard themselves with yellow journalism about how the world sucks and huff n' puff bullshit that amounts to nothing in the end like any of the "Happenings" if you've been to /pol/.
I'm not claiming we should all forget about libertarianism, the true meaning of money, or the delusion of government. First, we should just ignore all the huff n' puff yellow journalism bullshit that serves no purpose but to frustrate or depress us, even from voluntaryist news sources. The only thing you get from reading an article or watching a video about how this or that tyrant or dark occultist got into power, or how these two countries might nuke each other is frusturation, anger and depression.
Second, we should channel are efforts into organizations with clear goals rather than mass movements with vague unachievable goals and no viable means to accomplish them. Agorism, as popular as it may be, is one of these movements, and relies on the notion of the black market outcompeting the state, but disregards the incentives of the people as well as a clear goal. Liberland and the Seasteading Institute have already started to accomplish their first goals.
