car and house prereqs for gun ownership?

I would eventually like to grow up and become a gun owner, but I am concerned about the prerequisites I should perhaps be considering first to properly shelter and secure my future firearms.

In Canada you basically can't own them unless you explain some "legitimate" purpose other than self defense. I can use "hunting" as my justification for the basic license, but for that to be plausible means I should also get a hunting license. Luckily they offer those in 2-for-1 discount deals, though it's about $400 for the training and licensing fees before you even begin to buy guns or accessories.

To be a plausible hunter means I ought to get a pickup truck, because that's about the only thing you could plausible transport a buck carcass in. I would also need a case to transport a secured firearm in until I get to a place for hunting. I would need a driver's license too, to be able to drive the truck. Trucks are pretty expensive, I wish I had a wealthy relative to just gift me one. I can't imagine affording something like that on minimum wage. Is the security of a firearm a dream for people with established careers with an affirmed place in society?

I also think, since I do not want to leave my firearm in a truck unattended, that if I do not sleep in the truck (hot in summer, cold in winter, I imagine) I would need a home to keep it in. I think a lot of landlords wouldn't like that. I don't know if my rights would be protected, but I would like a carrying case for a rifle which is not obviously a rifle case so that it doesn't cause discrimination against me. I know my mom who I currently live with would hate the idea of me owning a gun, much less keeping it in the house, even if I kept it safely locked up. It seems like to have true freedom to keep a firearm you would need to actually be the owner of your home. I also worry that if police learn you have a firearm they will begin to concoct schemes to murder you as they could then plant your own gun on you and say you aimed it at them so they had to defend themselves.

To get a restricted firearms license (semi-automatic fire or handguns) I apparently need to take up target shooting, which is an additional expense. These clubs are expensive, and to get one with lower dues means you need to buy a share in the club which is over 9000 dollars when I asked. Some places offer discounts for military, so I'm wondering if getting into the reserves would help me get that discount. What I like about the reserves is apparently they don't deploy overseas unless they volunteer, they are slated for local in-country operations, so I wouldn't have to go die for Israel or anything. Still potentially a target for terror groups, but I'm hoping the training I get might help balance out the danger factor for life in general.

The extra income from reserves might help with affording a house/truck but it still seems like a far-off dream. To get in requires references and I don't socialize so I'm having trouble how to build those references. How do you build 20-month relationship with 3 people to total 60 months (5years) as required?

Considering the current state of the world, that could apply to anyone from 10 to 40.

You can hunt smaller things than bucks. A transport-bike would be enough to transport fox carcasses and probably deer, if you leave the limbs behind. Plausible enough. Keep in mind that most inspectors don't actually give a shit.

>I also worry that if police learn you have a firearm they will begin to concoct schemes to murder you as they could then plant your own gun on you and say you aimed it at them so they had to defend themselves.

Why would police give enough of a shit about you to do this? Sure, might happen if you're some kind of political activist that's actually successful or something.

>Still potentially a target for terror groups, but I'm hoping the training I get might help balance out the danger factor for life in general.

If that happens, they're going for attacking the uniform, and reservists don't wear uniform much.

Relatives or people from HS who are willing to BS for a hundred bucks.

If only, then I'd have an excuse.

I wouldn't be surprised if I stay like this in my 40s unless I find a way to improve. Foxes seem like they would be hard to hunt and I don't live close enough to woods to chek traps.

>Why would police give enough of a shit about you to do this? Sure, might happen if you're some kind of political activist that's actually successful or something.

I worry they try to get people before they become successful, or if they track anons who are successful without credit.

>Relatives or people from HS who are willing to BS for a hundred bucks.

Relatives aren't allowed (not close to them anyway) and not in contact with anyone I went to HS with.

You don't need a pickup truck to carry a deer carcass. Just lower the back seats in any vehicle with 5 or more seats.

You can also just tie the thing to your car roof with rope and ratchet straps.

Op you sound like a fucking schizoid (incapable of doing the basic research) so probably best if you didn't get a firearms licence and ruin it for the other leafcucks when you shoot up your school for Stacey rejecting your impotent advances. If you must just do the restricted combined with the non restricted course if you can, legally you can't store restricteds in a truck anyway and only some semi autos like ars are restricted here. Also move to somewhere non shitty (smaller hick cities or rural communities) and a gun club memebership should be like 20-200$ leaf shekels a year. As for legitimate use only need to say target shooting and if you go non restricted only you can do that on crown land or private property e z so no need for a range membership unless you want to be allowed ars and pistols.

tying to roof sounds like a lot of hassle, would rather just plump down. Putting down back seats seems doable but what if I don't tarp it properly and blood gets everywhere? Part of the appeal of a pickup truck bed is that it would be easy to clean if blood seeped out.

I guess part of proper hunting training is getting those proper blood-proof bags to wrap things in. Less likely some bear will come for you while you drag it back to where you parked.

>>681160

>you sound like a fucking schizoid (incapable of doing the basic research)

Incapable, or just lazy? I think it's a genuine concern about acquiring hands-on experience from a mentor instead of just thinking I could do this alone with no problems watching some YT shit.

>shoot up your school for Stacey rejecting your impotent advances

I don't make advances toward women. I'm interested in a long-term relationship with a high-quality woman with good priorities, and one would not be interested in me unless I learned decent skills like hunting, carpentry and farming to pass on to her children to prepare them for collapse/disaster.

If I learn these skills and do begin to make advances and am rejected, that is good, it informs me that either woman does not share my priorities or that her standards are higher than I have achieved, and I may continue to pursue others while upgrading my skills further to appeal to a wider variety.

I'm not really sure why you feel the need to focus this on sexuality. Is that your first go-to?

> If you must just do the restricted combined with the non restricted course if you can, legally you can't store restricteds in a truck anyway

That simplifies a non-concern, thank you. I'm sure I would have found that out from taking the course.

>move to somewhere non shitty (smaller hick cities or rural communities) and a gun club memebership should be like 20-200$ leaf shekels a year.

This basically is a hick city, without going into too many details, but probably not hick enough. If I go far enough north it feels like it might end up being cheaper to just buy land and set up my own targets than to drive around for some rare cheap gun club.

> if you go non restricted only you can do that on crown land or private property e z so no need for a range membership

Any good guides to finding crown land to hunt on?

>unless you want to be allowed ars and pistols.

I do, if I go hunting and some bear/moose charges me I'll probably trip and drop my rifle like a faggot so having a pistol strapped to the hip as a backup seems like a good idea.

Lol. If I have to explain why I'm laughing, you won't get the joke.

On the actual topic at hand, though - why exactly do you need to live this lifestyle? At most, you just need to pretend you know what you're talking about and go to a couple of firearm classes. You don't need to actually go hunting (although the experience might be good for you), and you don't need to actually go to the range (unless you live in a place where you have to keep your guns there).

Also, don't join the reserves if you don't plan on 'volunteering.' You essentially out yourself as someone who doesn't belong, and you will leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth there. They will find reasons to make you leave.

>If I have to explain why I'm laughing, you won't get the joke.

I can think of several legitimate reasons, so I might.

>why exactly do you need to live this lifestyle?

Need is subject. I want to. Need to feel safer, perhaps?

I don't know how aggressive government is in prosecuting people for their stated reasons for owning firearms, so if I actually say, kill a buck and have the antlers on a wall I can honestly say "I hunted that". This is better than just buying antlers because I won't have to lie, as I am not a convincing liar.

>don't join the reserves if you don't plan on 'volunteering.' You essentially out yourself as someone who doesn't belong

Surely people who don't want to go die for Israel and just stay to help with disasters / invasions still has a legitimate role to play.

Besides, maybe I would volunteer if it was a legitimate conflict in a place I agreed with engaging. Like if North Korea attacked Japan I'd go help.
