Hi 🙋 Jim.

I like to spend time in the visayas at a small fishing 🎣 village where I swim during the day and sing 🎤 karaoke during the night :)

How do you like living in Phils? Is it really the simple life? Do you find yourself bored or frustrated with corruption or culture quirks? Do you trust your girl?

If you have harvested shells in the visayas before its not hard to imagine how the pin might come in handy when its time to eat. Ma sarap.

I try to avoid the handmade snacks at the smaller airports, even if my system is adapted I still end up on the toilet all day. Airport security in Tacloban just after Yolanda was funny, after passing through the checks and into the waiting area a little sari sari was set up outside the building, they poked a hole through the wall where you could slip in some pesos and buy stuff. It's more fun in Phils.

I'm not Jim but I'll give my two cents.

Small fishing village where you can swim all day and sing karaoke during the night is easy enough provided you have money. If you're planning on working here while living that lifestyle, forget about it. Not that the prices are exorbitant but simply that it's extremely hard to find a job that pays anything above slave wages.

The Phils being simple, well, it's actually not entirely. It's amazing but, as underdeveloped as it is, you can find electricity, clean water, cable TV and DSL everywhere. If you go to the provinces, you will find restaurants and resorts dotted everywhere. Filipinos seem to have stuff related to fun covered.

Now, the annoying thing about the Phils is how everything just seems shoddy. Roads are crappy. Buildings are shit. A lot of restaurants have shitty tables, shitty utensils. There are a lot of people and they are pretty loud.

It takes a little effort to figure out how to have fun here. At some point you're able to tell which restaurants are probably good.

Thanks. I'm not picky at all with foods once my system adjusts, one can't be picky around waray people. Yes everything seems broken in phils even outside of the province, many service workers don't seem to know anything about their jobs, I get frustrated but then I feel like I'm being arrogant. I was in Phils around six months, did not want to come back to usa, usa seems to get worse every day but it's still easier to make money here and since I'm not retired with a pension or a land lord I'll just stay here unless Clinton gets elected, study that I'd rather starve in the boondocks with the Negritos.

Things are dilapidated, and construction is poor.

The people are great. The best professional workers go to other countries. The JV stays home and practices building. The Philippines is a lot of fun. They keep it clean, even if the infrastructure is hagard.

I bought a new umbrella today.

Your daughter in law is very muscular and I mean that in a most complimentary way… So why do the Chan sites have a problem getting ad money? Are advertisers scared of image boards? You can't saturate the site with ads like ebaumsworld?

Because chan sites, in general, are not made of 9baumcenter tier users and understand how ad block and a host of other things work. Since they have that set up as the default most never see the ads and don't get the revenue. I go out of my way to whitelist sites I support, like 8chan, but most people won't on principle. Which sucks tbh.

It's kind of why I am hoping that board targeted ads become a thing soon™so that I can justify dumping a bunch of ad money on 8chan knowing that I am able to earn that money back in the amount of butthurt I can generate by paying for specific troll ads on certain boards that will trigger the normies and summeryogis. I am not concerned with ad clicks, just scraping the bottom of the barrel and upsetting those kids that don't know what a chan is, and giving the oldyogis that whitelist everything a good chuckle when they know how the normies will react.

Board specific ads when?

Just saturate the site with relevant content. Turn key solution is dripping wet and waiting for action.

>Yes everything seems broken in phils even outside of the province, many service workers don't seem to know anything about their jobs,

There's a long list of kinds of service workers so you're gonna have to be a little bit more specific. From my experience, the quality is equally across the board. I've had terrible service and I've had excellent service and it's different for each type of service.

For the most part, they keep business flowing. Just don't expect them going the extra mile to make you happy. I had my computer serviced here for a dead fan. The guy knew what he was doing (and I think he got pissed at me for asking so many questions but I really take care of my electronics) but he didn't care enough (a recurring theme) about the actual work - his set-up was incredibly haphazard since he didn't have a basin to put the screws, the solder wasn't clean, and the screws were put back in the wrong place. It looked like he was hurrying his job. You just gotta know that these guys are paid peanuts for them to want to care about their work. On the flip-side, you gotta admire them for even offering the type of services they do for the price. I paid like $12 for the service. I'm pretty sure it would've cost at least $100 in the US.

Jim,

The country in which you currently reside severely requires nuclear power. Do you know anyone I could pitch a nuclear power plant concept to that would help with business development? Our small scale reactor is conceptualized to require minimal design effort through elimination of moving parts (pumps, valves, control rods) and avoiding pressurization of fluids. We can demonstrate our reactor for under 5 million and produce electricity profitably at 2 cents per kWh or above. This would be a HUGE boon to the philippines economy, as they pay around 23 cents per kWh. Please Jim, help me make some inroads and lets help do God's work in these folks' lives.
