I spent a week at the beach. The remote northern part of Luzon did not have internet available for me. My phone internet would not even work. It was a real break for me. The first time I have been offline for over 7 days in several years.

It was a long drive. We loaded the Ford up with eight people, and headed north. Luzon island is really big. The first night we stayed in San Fernando, La Union at the Oasis Resort Hotel. They have a nice bakery and a great restaurant.

Blue lagoon is what the locals call this patch of coastline. There is a zip line that crosses the entire bay. My crew prepares to cross the bay on a banana boat. Only a few of these brave kids were able to ride the zip line.

We rode a bunka to a private beach. The sand was pearly white and it was a great day. A bunka is an outrigger canoe with a noisy diesel engine.

Not far away from Hannah's is Saud Beach resort. The food is higher end and the rooms are plusher. We didn't stay there, but they do have a lovely beach.
