Serious question: would marriage to a robot with an artificial womb be permissible?
Let's say we were in an age where artificial women were advanced enough to cook, clean, carry conversations and even birth children. How would the Islamic religion deal with this issue?
Sex dolls are forbidden due to them being an aid to sinful behavior. With robots there's perhaps the imitation of Allah SWT's creation, which according to the Hadith is a huge sin.

I'm not a scholar but I -don't- think the Prophet would have been too keen on people marrying inanimate objects.

Yeah, you're right. I don't claim to speak for the Prophet PBUH, but maybe he would be sympathetic to men who are having trouble finding a suitable wife and just don't want to commit fornication. Allah SWT knows best.

Don't you think types of threads are insulting and approach defamation? How can an object made by man approach the glory and grace of a woman made by Allah?

I must ask you, why do you use this alias of yours? Why use a name on an anonymous imageboard? You do not care that the verses of the holy Qu'ran strike down your behavior. Some scholars have said if you have a problem with sin to keep it to yourself so that you may eventually overcome this sin and so it does not spread and so when you prevail over sin you will not be tempted by the memories of it in the future. So why not shed this alias of yours and focus on overcoming your sin and keeping it from spreading?
