Is there a guide anywhere about all the various aspects of preparation I keep seeing mentioned? Names we have, but is there a kit template anywhere? And what's with things like the goal horn and ads? How does an actual cup go down when the big day(s) arrive?

Sorry to ask all these questions, but the main reason we didn't get our shit together was that we didn't really know what needed to be done.

I was thinking about this for the future, should the idea for prospective teams be limited to the top 100 boards (so there's leeway if a board is not interested/can't do it) and any ones that crack that can be asked as well or should everything be taken by a per board basis that has enough activity/own culture (unlike certain boards that are just used for dumping I.E. /wx/)?

I wonder if /tex/ could ever manage to be in.

Well if your board wanted a team, they would need 23 players, two gold ranked and two silver ranked, an anthem, a logo, a goal horn or horns, and a uniform or uniforms. You wouldn't have to worry about team names. Also an export for the game that would be player stats and team formation/positions, however if you would need help with that Cotton could. The game is Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.

Win Percentage and Formation:

A whopping 70%, While /a/ had 2 DMFs, It didn't effect our midfield dominance and high passcompletion

Weaknesses:

the 1-2 and 1-3 losses resulted from strikers not cultivating chances (both matches had us have less than 30% of our shots on target), 3-6 came from a midfield in poor form, giving the ball away too much

Other:

Trump saved /n/ three times in extra time.

Dio managed to get 4 hat tricks during the tests

With 6 matches and a 33% win rate, I'd say yes. I can see /b/ forcing /n/ to play a possession game which ruins the tactic. I'm sure If I did 4 more matches, I could see the 40% but it seems obvious that /b/ is the stronger team against /n/

Yeah we know these issues came up a lot which is why we're setting boundaries and doing auditions this time to find good chemistry matches for color commentators. However we're just trying to get team stuff finalized now (and I have midterms for the next 2-3 weeks so im fucking busy) and once that's done I'll start audition scheduling while making the 2nd promo and other stuff for /icup/ II.

The players themselves need to be edited/modded to look like the character they're portraying, that was really lame to have players that had nothing special about them.

Two commentators. Not more than that (well, three can work but the issue is chemistry, it's easier to ensure it's kept fine when there's two of them). And they need to be serious about it, actually involved in the game, and to know the names of the players and even if possible a bit of the "board culture". At least one of the two needs to know his shit about football/soccer

No of course not, we owe a lot to the content creators for the community and those who made the tutorials for modding I won't doubt that. There are of course similarities to the halfchan cup but our focuses are slightly different in which nobody really cares too much about who wins but rather if its fun for everyone watching and people involved don't care either and just care about their favorite boards getting represented rather then winning the whole shebang like some do in halfchan cups organization which, as you've pointed out, has created a lot of circlejerking and egotism in their event which is why I personally am not incredibly fond of their organization and can't stand a good number of their community.

If their general wants to do a collab friendly "all star game" ever I'd be open to our guys getting involved for the fans enjoyment but only if the fans want it to happen [spoiler]if the chan wars actually begin like some speculate I can sort of see this happening for maximum lulz anyways[/spoilers]
