I was told of her existence when I was 14, all we share is a dad. We meet up sometimes, but she's never felt like a sister to me, more like a distant cousin.

She attempted to molest me for years when we were kids and I aggressively kept her away from me. In our adolescence she would always try to touch my breasts and slap my ass. My mother never liked me (an born atheist in a religious household) and for some reason accused ME of molesting my sister. Both my sister and I told her I hadn't but she kept it in her head for a couple years (I suspect she noticed my sister's behaviour and thought I must've done something). A couple years after that, my sister continued her behaviour and because my mother loves my sister so much my mother started speaking to me the way my sister did. Whistling and calling me sexy all the time. I think I literally got brain damage from the impotent rage I held. My mother casually accused me of the most disgusting act on earth and then basically cat calls me for years after that.
I haven't seen them in 3 years now. Good riddance.

My sister is 14 years older than me, and moved out when she was 18 for mental health reasons. She spent a lot of my formative years (before I was 16) being really controlling whenever I saw her, and she never visited much anyway, so we have a really broken relationship.

I feel comfortable mentioning the situation with my mother and sister because sadly that kind of shit and worse happens behind closed doors all over the West. The other situation largely was a public event although all the upsetting and life changing parts occurred privately but someone who knows me might recognize bits of information.

A public event? Jesus Christ, you poor thing. It's enough, with the domestic dispute. The last thing you need added to that is the embarrassment of prying eyes. I just hope you can find someone to come in to your life, and help you make life, rather than take it away. I know you came up godless because you could never feel hope growing up, but I know someone could save your soul, and make you feel complete. Please hang in there. I don't know what squalor you live in, if at all, but please don't let yourself be consumed by it.

Thank you for the concern but I really don't need sympathy or pity from anyone. I claim responsibility for not standing my ground. It wasn't a public spectacle but the situation went on for awhile and other people were around but not aware what was going on (some people did find out afterwards though). It's hard to illustrate without divulging information I don't want to so sorry if that doesn't quite make sense.
I don't expect to be "saved" and it's always been a principle of mine that each human is responsible for their own destiny and happiness. And I do not live in squalor, I have been successful despite everything but the last 5 months have been a downturn for me and I am left asking myself the questions that anyone would in this state.

What's not to like? I understand if it feels "immature" to watch such things in maturity, but perhaps innocence is something for adults to admire, rather than emulate? You should give it a try. It just might breathe some stress out of your life.

I'm sorry, I should have worded that differently. I didn't mean to suggest anime was immature, animations can have mature themes and be meant for adult enjoyment. I meant that my interest phased out and I moved onto things that I had a greater interest. I hope that clears that up.

Really? You think the MSM will come to an abrupt end? They have a lot of money backing them, and they avoid revenue dips with their pre-roll ads on their content so they have the means to survive while adjusting to the zeitgeist on YouTube. I think they might morph themselves into something more palatable to the YouTube audience once the pressure is on them enough…

I know you enough to have these feelings. I know I'm talking to you in more threads than just this one. You're someone I definitely know more than most strangers, and I meet plenty of them irl. There's nothing wrong with being loved by someone, even if it is from afar.
As soon as I am done with my current issues, I'll be ready to take on what's next! I never want to let myself give up, and when I have no choice but to do so, I want to make sure my kin's issues are what I have occupied myself with, and not my own. I don't really have any problems that stand out from most people, myself. Just the usual debt in car and house payments, like most in my country, but the checks are swell, and my savings are tidy. You could say I am but a boy born without woes! So you can see why I am so clingy. I try to help others with their own, but they hardly accept my help offline.

It's good to hear you don't have any major problems and that you like to keep your personal and financial matters in order. I'm assuming you live in America?
Do you mean that you try to help people in your life and they don't accept it? Is that something you do often, assume a counsellor type of role for people?

Please. With how little anyone opens up these days, more concerned with telling every facet of their lives directly to the public, I must say you're someone I definitely know well in private. Accept the love! I don't know how different things are for your society up north, but you certainly seem refreshingly open for someone I'm replying to on an anonymous imageboard.
Most don't open up like this IRL. They need something, but do not want to know how to get it, and end up needing something else, though they will post of their needings online. You are different. You want help, and are responsive. It's definitely not something you can't help but be fond of.

There isn't that much of a difference between America and Canada (despite what some people want to believe). Canadians are a bit softer but not necessarily more open. I've always been a fairly open person, mostly because I enjoy when others are open with me. I won't share anything I'm not comfortable telling so there's nothing to worry about.
Some people don't want help what they really want is for magic to transform their situation if the effort required exceeds their comfort level. Others like to ask for help as a way to complain about their situation, they never change anything but complaining about it provides a release so they can continue on. So I understand what you mean, I don't sympathize with those types of people for long.

I'm sorry, I don't fully understand what you meant by that.
And of course you base it on your own limitations. I didn't mean "cut off" in a rude way you simply steer the conversation in a different direction. It really doesn't do the person any favours allowing them to endlessly ruminate on a single problem for months or however long. I like to give constructive feedback :).

As for myself I don't know… I feel like right now isn't a time for fun it's time to make major decisions but I think I should go do something nonetheless to take the pressure off. There's a water park not too far from me, and also a fair in the summer I might take my friend to. I'm still kinda depressed so going out seems like hell but part of getting better is knowing when to shut up and just do things so I will force myself at some point to go do fun stuff.

I've got plenty things to be mad about, in this world, but I guess it doesn't bother me that much. Maybe it's because I never hold back my own rage? Haha, when it comes to wasps you are far braver than I. I wouldn't seek them out. When I was about 7 I was stung by a bee and had what must have been an allergic reaction. The entire front face of my thigh was red and swollen. I haven't been stung by anything since because I've mastered the art of fleeing and taking cover.
Hm, I like your approach to life. It seems very balanced. I agree that withholding thoughts or emotions can bring one into turmoil, unfortunately it seems that many people struggle with emotional regulation and also I think a lot of people don't pay attention to how they feel.

Oh it is more than a possibility. It is a definite fact. The fact you've been stung once means your immune system has made the proper alterations to keep you fron suffering much in the same way as before, as would happen with other common child allergies.
It's easier to "go with the flow", rather than try to control any obvious lashes of stress, you'll find. Simply not caring is usually better than actually caring, but withholding it even slightly.

Absolutely. It's more of a logistics issue for moving out. In reality I can anytime, just kinding waiting on a good time to move with my friends or girlfriend. But anyways, I had a similar situation about being helped. My grandma was basically my mother but she passed away recently. I was very lucky to have her, she was the kindest person I knew in my life. She still is the kindest I've ever known. My family had me on accident, they planned my sister. They were definitely not ready. Hard to be mad at them, I just wish my grandmother could've been around in better health for longer. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, at least she was there for you most of your time growing up. I know you want to wait for an opportune moment to move out but don't stay in a place that wears you down emotionally/mentally because you need that energy for better things. I wish I left way earlier, honestly I could've called child protective services and been removed but I didn't know that was an option.
>And I will slap her if she does it again
She definitely deserves it but it is probably wiser to restrain her. Like try to pin her hands behind her back and hold her on the ground and tell her she can't get up until she stops acting like a psycho.
>My family had me on accident, they planned my sister. They were definitely not ready. Hard to be mad at them
Well they were adults who chose to have sex, you didn't ask to be born. It's probably healthier for you not to be angry at them, but they still failed at doing the right thing.
>>17976
>I can walk right into the inner city, and the countryside
That sounds like a good placement, I think it's healthier to access both worlds.
>I just want the world to be a better place.
I think that's what everyone wants, and the problem arises when people's vision of better conflicts with one another. The strongest societal current is one that I don't like, but I believe there isn't much that can be done to stop it. It's kind of astonishing what is being passed off as legitimate beliefs nowadays and I really didn't see it coming. I think North America is a really toxic place to raise children right now. Unless you raise them with minimal societal contact and no internet access but that's a horrible way to live. Plus the internet is an incredibly powerful tool but you can't monitor everything they could see. Even YouTube Kids isn't safe, did you hear about those weird, sexually innapropriate videos being played there? Creepy stuff.

>There is no way letting your children use the internet is a viable option
I agree during the most formative years of childhood the internet should not be accessible. From my own childhood I feel that reading was immensely beneficial for my mind in aiding the quality of my thoughts, my strength in English, and my ability to assume the mental state of others to view subjects through their mind's lens. I would insist that my child was an avid reader.
However it is inarguable that the internet is a source of knowledge the size of which our ancestors could not have fathomed and a tool I am lucky to have. The question becomes when is the right time to introduce the internet, how do you discuss the "rabbit holes" they will come across, how do you deter them from viewing damaging material, and how can you monitor what their friends may expose them to? I have an insatiable curiousity and if my child inherents that then the later the exposure the better. I would want my child to be technologically literate though and children learn much faster when they are young which makes early exposure beneficial in that regard.
>I'd sooner trust them playing outside than browsing the internet
Well that's a given, the internet is far more perilous. I personally would prohibit excessive internet usage (whenever the age of access would arrive). I would enroll my kid(s) in music, sports, and other activities as I was to keep them busy.
