That wouldn't happen. I never play proprietary games at LAN parties. I would be a hypocrite as a free software advocate to use even a tiny bit of proprietary software in my free time.
My favorite game under the GPL to play at LANs is Quake 3, or one of it's derivatives like CPMA.
