I'm a skinnyfag, but I love burgers. How do I make them healthier?

>lean beef patty

>fresh cheese

>fresh wheat bun

>spinach+tomatoes+sauce

>oven roast fries

Any other tips? I love getting drunk and devouring entire trays of this stuff not all the time though

If you're skinny, I suggest not worrying about the fat content in your beef. Animals fats are good news; I don't care what your mother says. And skinny guys like you and me need the extra calories.

Have you seen those "thin buns"? I really like those. Pic related.

And yeah, cheese, leafy greens, I'd skip the sauce, maybe throw a fried egg in there. Drop the fries and the alcohol.

The bun is the only unhealthy part, assuming there's no filler in the patty. I like to wrap my burgers in lettuce, or just take off the bun and eat it with a fork and knife.

This right here, and without that useless bun filling you up you'll be able to eat more burgers for more gains.

I just had a crazy idea. What if you replace the bun with a lean meatloaf?

Burgers are all fine. Not great but okay. The thing that fucks people up is soda and fries and this kind of stuff.

Make your own bread with hemp seed, coconut/almond flour, maybe some protein powder. Whenever you need buns toast each side, butter/oil them up, and voila.

Don't go making assumptions, listen first.

do not EVER buy store bought "veggy buggers"

look up some cool plant based recipes online on youtube thought invidio.us or hooktube.com so you don't gotta load bloat data. usually these are healthy home made recipes involving mixing beans and onions and mushrooms and a few other ingredients together to make a fully plant based burger. You're also gonna want to make your own low simple carb - high complex carb - high fiber home made no-rise bread by mixing rolled oats just like that with some water and tossing that in the oven on a baking sheet. less water = more crunch. if flax or chia seeds don't bother you then grind some up (so you can digest them) and add them to the mix for a more stretchy oat bread. that way you can avoid the unhealthy simple carb white flour (or even "whole wheat") crap and actually eat carbs that are good for you rather than hyper processed ones.

two pieces of oat bread for buns, your plant based home made burger made from ingredients you can actually spell, and fucking bam you got it

Is all bread really so bad? I realize the issue is that it is pretty empty nutritionally, but can I bake my own and make it better?

I can't improve upon much of what you already posted, but will add that most commercial wheat bread is full of sodium and added sugar. I recommend a bread like Ezekial's (I use the low sodium) which has no added sugar or Dave's Killer Bread which has low sodium and a bit of added sugar.

For fries, I cut my own from raw potatoes, coat them lightly with extra virgin olive oil, season them, and throw them in my air fryer for 20 minutes.

90/10 beef is my choice.

I skip the cheese for now, but will add it back to my diet once I lose 12 more pounds and reach my target weight.

Bread is shit if:

- it has added sodium and/or sugar. A little sodium is fine, but there is no excuse for added sugar. I think they do it to speed up yeast production which helps them mass produce bread. Still shit.

- it's made from processed grains like white flour. White bread, flour tortillas, white pasta is all shit. Go for the whole grain version. I've never made my own bread, but have make my own tortillas all the time (pic related)

Commercial veggie burgers are shit. You usually get a skimpy 4-oz patty which is loaded with sodium. They need to pack it full of sodium probably because it tastes like shit as it is.

As long as the bun isn't full of soy and other shit, and if you replace the patty with steak or chicken, burgers are actually one of the best foods for skellys. Chuck some beetroot/eggs/spinach/kale/avocado/carrot etc. in there too and you're fuckin gold. Also make sure the cheese isn't fake and plastic, and skip the sauces, cos most of them are full of unnecessary poison.

The only thing I'll never understand is fries. I've never seen the appeal, such a bland, empty 'food', may as well just eat a potato with spoonfuls of salt.

WHEAT IS POISON, so is spinach, and tomatoes…just eat a double med rare burger with bacon and lettuce some soy free mayo IF you can find it or make your own with pastured egg yolks. For bread use SOURDOUGH!

Or he'll get tired of just eating piles of ground beef and eat less. As a skinny guy, a bun isn't going to kill him, he should just make double burgers. Maybe throw an egg on.
