-Fist of the North Star
-Jojo Part 1 and depending on your definition the rest varies, Part 7 is a great story but has much less muscle than the other parts, stay the hell away from Part 5 and 6 by all means. However if you only want masculinity Part 1, which is weak story wise but is more akin to an ancient fairy tale with a really jacked protagonist. It's a favorite of mine. Oh and it's just a rip off of FoTNS at points so there's that.
-If you reach far enough, Berserk.
-Depending on your definition waifu bait shows specifically those with only female casts can be seen as somewhat motivational, and nurture heterosexual tendencies the same way watching a girl twerk or the pictures of women here would.
Unless of course you're gay but that's a whole different thing, just exclude those if you don't want them.
Of course shonen occasionally has some masculine points in stuff like Toriko, One Pice, and Dragon Ball, but quality varies as does masculinity at times in any given point in the series.
But I wouldn't blame anime for predominantly being unmasculine as an industry, the unfortunate truth is that in all of Asia smoother less edged details and toned bodies with less muscle mass than regular body builders are sought out now. The same can't be said as much for America thanks to most athletes still using steroids for football and other butt touch sports but mind you the modern world has subjected all men to similar fates. Not even comic book heroes have muscles that go beyond 20 inches unless they're the Hulk or others.
But you know whatever ignore that tangent, you're going to want to look for mostly 80's and 90's stuff.
Oh and Vagabond has some stuff in it in regards to what some might call masculine nature or virtue but not masculine appearance or bodies as it still has lack of large muscles. >>148520
Bebop isn't masculine just western modernism.
