The cheaper the better. Talk to tradesmen, you'll eventually be given so many hats, you won't know what to do with them. I've got several from various HVAC, drilling, electrical companies, and I never spent a dime on them, and some are really great. Golf hats are great for the summer, beanies are good for the cold, many are unique, and others are from friends who work at the company and have a personal touch. Sometimes you get some with gaudy logos, while others might have just simple embroidery. I'm a fan of simple baseball caps, but I've gotten most normal styles. The best hat is a hat several years old, faded with a good stain.
