I gotta try this just to see how wicked nasty the farts are.

The farts happen only if you eat carbs with your meat. When I go pure carnivore, there are none to even speak of.

Not carnivore, but I buy fresh meat from a "meathouse". I don't fancy those "boxed" meat from the picture. Do you really eat that?

Dude, humans have been cooking and eating grains and vegetables from the very beginning of our species. Carnivore is a terrible meme

I'm doing great on a semi-primal type diet. Eating the rare or raw meat at breakfast time really has made a ton of difference for me, coming from a SAD diet background.

Not pure carnivore anymore. It's hard to get enough quality animal fat on my budget, so I've added back in some coconut oil and cocoa butter. It helps keep the PUFAs down.
>>145855
You shouldn't have fart issues if you do it right. The farts come from excess protein. Carnivore is a very high fat diet. Most days I have a pound of 73/27 ground beef and a a little butter added in to make sure I'm getting enough calories.

Lol. Read a gaddamn book. Early hominids were vegetarian like gorillas until about 2,000,000 years ago when the ice age kicked in. They then switch to eating meat, and only meat. Several species were hunted to extinction. This easily digestible source of protein and preformed long chain fats allowed the gut to shrink and the brain to grow. Plants didn't start showing up again in hominid coprolites until about 50,000 years ago.
Our bodies evolved to eat meat. Eating anything else is just wasting space.

humans ate a lot of meat at one point, which resulted in a shortening of the gut and a growth of the brain which resulted in the fact that we can't ferment vegetables in our gut like other herbivores like gorillas do.

Meat contains more then enough vitamin c to prevent scurvy. Fresh meat as a scurvy cure was particularly common on arctic expeditions.
Also, vitamin c is chemically similar to sugars, and competes with the same transporters as sugar. On an all meat diet, you are able to fully absorb vitamin c. So not only are you getting more then enough to prevent scurvy, you aren't shitting a bunch of it out like someone eating citrus.

If you eat raw meat you'll get enough vitamin C to stave off scurvy sure, but you guys didn't actually fall for the raw meat meme did you?
you didn't right?

I didn't because for the life of me I cannot imagine what the fuck raw meat would taste like.
Also don't we cook our food to find a mid point with enough nutrients but also easier digestibility?

u act like going carnivore is a benefit from not farting. you shouldnt be overeating and having to fart anyways
diets are pseudo bullshit
having a diet and a routine is totally different. you should have milk veggies and complex carbs in your diet obviously. do ur research and not be a total numbskull op

I eat raw meat, but it's not the only thing I eat. I eat raw meat, cooked meat, raw egg yolks, cooked eggs, all sorts of cheeses, organ meats like heart, liver and sweetbreads, cream, creme fraiche, butter, lard, tallow, etc. I'm not 100% carnivore, though. I do eat some cocoa butter and coconut oil. Once a month or so I eat some natto. It's one of my favorite foods. I limit it though since it's soy. I could make my own soy free version, but I don't eat it often enough to make it worthwhile.

Cooking food does destroy vitamin C but not all of it so you can prevent scurvy even with cooked meat.
I haven't tried the carnivore diet yet, though I'm planning to. Not raw carnivore though, and lots of organ meat for nutrients

meat is pretty digestible almost always.
if you rot or ferment it you find the same balance between digestibility and nutrition plus the benefits of bacteria boost for your gut to help you continue to digest meat and produce serotonin and all the neat things bacteria do.
