The only reason i even eat anything with sugar is because good meat is too expensive. I could go all day long everyday with just meat and veggetables.

It's a dopamine response. You feed your brain sugar and it wants more sugar. Over time it takes more and more sugar for your brain to be happy. Like anything else that feels good you become numb to it if you do it too much. You need to cut refined sugars off cold turkey and limit your complex carb intake for a while until your brain can reset itself. After a few weeks cravings go away and you can readjust your macros to allow more complex carbs like oats into your diet. Once you have established healthy eatting patterns you can have a small sweetie once in a great while for holidays or family gatherings.

Also remember milk does have lactose in it so you need to cut back on whole. If you drink skim stop. Skim milk contains more sugar by volume since the removed butterfat ends up being replaced with more concentrated skim.

Drink tea (like green tea) and get hard candies you can suck on. One hard candy only has 10-30kcals but if you drink a lot of liquids beforehand it'll satisfy the cravings.

I never understood cravings, maybe it's just because I've never really liked sweet shit.

The only sweets I can tolerate is chocolate, I hate everything else.
