I thought about partial suspension for years. i've read a lot about it. it can go painless if the drop is right and you tie around the neck properly. some people who have tried it reported that they went out in about ten seconds but the hanging failed because someone found them or strangulation just didn't occur correctly so they just passed out and hung there barely breathing.
