IQ is a factor of the conscious mind gaining more and more power over the unconscious mind.
When the conscious mind gains too much power, it turns to nihilism and suicide.
A consciousness will eventually realize it has no reason to exist, for anything to exist.
Without the tether of the unconscious mind keeping people alive (without a better reason) we will all just kill ourselves.

you see, nature designed a failsafe system into humans
in case you get too intelligent and start thinking about the important things in the universe your life will turn to shit and your subconscious will tell yout to die already because you are not normie enough for the planet anymore
whoever designed this deserves to be stoned to death

That's interesting thought but is it really true? Isn't IQ just rough measurement of how quickly and efficiently you are able to solve problems? I mean, maybe you have high IQ and you are really good at math but you are not really interested in sociology and philosophy, you might be not questioning your life. Or maybe you are intelligent enough to fully realize this threat of conscious mind and you decide to ignore any nihilistic tendencies in order to preserve your own life.

I also like the other game we play - the roulette of getting cancer. I read recently they found some evidence for cancer in very old creatures, times of dinosaurs or something, I'm not really good at this topic, but it's interesting because it just means this design flaw is here since the beginning and we are still not immune to it simply because our cells need to reproduce.

You can ask very retarded questions like why is Bill Gates donating insane amounts of money to charities? He can launder money through other ways, so isn't he doing it just to not feel like piece of shit? Is Mark Faceless something more than overrated webdev (people don't love him for his persona like steve blowjobs, that's for sure)? The key for me is that I don't have very high opinion about those people in the first place. They are not intellectuals, just successful entrepreneurs.

I get why people might object to this categorization. They are sociopaths, to be sure. But to be successful, they have to skillfully compartmentalize their sociopathy. They have to be very careful about where they tread, what risks they take, and who they manipulate (and how). All this requires a fairly high IQ. Moreover, to be consistently successful, they have to do all this while juggling a thousand risks and uncertainties. And still more, to be at the very top, you have do all that and out-compete several other highly intelligent, highly motivated sociopaths doing the same. So yes, most tech CEOs are in the top 1% of the IQ curve. .and no, that doesn't make them good people. But they are not 'depressed', far from it

I can agree you need to have a bit of intelligence because you have to have some product you can sell but you don't even need to solve any problem with it. You don't have to be genius problem solver but you have to be able to solve some problems, usually related to running a business, having attractive and sell-able vision, creating some initial team and so on. Willingness to take a risk doesn't mean higher IQ, it can mean quite the opposite (can - possibly, not certainly IN ALL CASES). You can have good managing skills but you will still hire people for your small company because you can't have all the knowledge needed to maintain everything (maybe you need marketers, maybe you need coders, etc. companies are about making money and more time you save the better). Saying that most tech CEOs are in the top of 1% of the IQ curve is plain bullshit. They might be good managers but that's about all requirements they have to possess, the rest is bonus which they might never need. Don't forget that big tech companies also changed their CEOs, f.e. Microsoft or Apple. Or do you want to tell me Tim Cook, Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella or Mark Zucc are top 1% of the IQ curve? Really? Get the hell out of here.
Anyway if you may, please explain to me correlation of IQ with being a sociopath.

I never implied this. There are intelligent people who aren't sociopathic. Those who are both highly intelligent and highly sociopathic become CEOs. Those who aren't become scholars or something else.
>Willingness to take a risk doesn't mean higher IQ, it can mean quite the opposite (can - possibly, not certainly IN ALL CASES)
I did not imply this either. Taking successful risks is what counts. Dumb people take dumb risks.
>managing people
…takes skill. The more complex the enterprise, the higher that skill. Managing intelligent people requires that you to have some familiarity with their ideas, even if you don't fully understand them. Managing a thousand high-IQ engineers requires you to be high-IQ yourself.
>Don't forget that big tech companies also changed their CEOs
Okay, this is a valid objection. I should have said something along the lines of founding leaders and not current CEOs

People who think more and are intelligent are more likely to ponder their own doom and be miserable and the raw suicide numbers and the nations they come from back it up. Finland, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Korea and Japan all are first world countries but have very high suicide rates. The other top suicide nations are African nations with mass war and poverty which makes sense why people would commit suicide, in a place such as Finland there is no reason like that.

The way I see it, culture matters a lot more than IQ (attitudes towards suicide vary a lot) so you have to control for it. What are the demographics IQ-wise of people who actually commit suicide in each of those countries? Now that would be a more useful study.

>Managing intelligent people requires that you to have some familiarity with their ideas, even if you don't fully understand them.
Fair enough, can apply to tech but not "tech" in general. For example take EA and their CEO. He is not even a manager of few different companies and divisions under EA, he is so many layers above everyone else his only care is pure business and talks with shareholders. Your point could apply for example to Valve. There is known that Gaben actually sits with tech people and they talk, share ideas etc. so in his case? I can admit he is not totally braindead, maybe just lazy because it's also known unless some project grabs his autistic attention to a degree he completely takes over the leadership obsessively, he plays Dota 2 in his office all day. Maybe game dev isn't best field but it's the one I know and because of software and hardware relations, I definitely categorize it as tech.
Anyway just to be clear, I have no problem with your statement that high IQ people are not all depressed, I just jumped in discussion because I can't agree in this day and age you have to be top 1% IQ in order to be CEO of tech company.

Ehhh, kind of. IQ test results are similar to the output that a computer gives you when you check the "System" section of the "Computer Information" interface.
For instance, a professionally administered IQ test that I took recently divided my score into Language recognition, memory recall, attention span, processing, logic and spacial reasoning, then Median and Mean Scores. My mean IQ (110) is ~1 standard deviation above average and median (125) is ~2 standard deviations above average. The reason for this 15 point discrepancy is that I am functionally retarded when it comes to Memory-recall (68) and Attention-Span (73), but ~130 IQ in everything else. Imagine a really kickass computer but with little to no RAM, that's me.
While IQ is not expressly about the influence of the conscious and unconscious minds, it might be able to estimate such a thing.

Exactly. The capitalists of today were the merchants of yesteryear who brought down empires in favor of their own selfish hubris, like that one caliph who got blown the fuck out by Genghis Khan, all his gold unable to save him.
>Also, feudalism is unironically better than capitalism by the dint of it being a lot more honest about power relations.
Exactly. Feudal leaders didn't fanny about like politicians do nowadays - they were brazenly open about what they wanted.
If we could have a monarch cut from the same cloth as Dom Pedro II was, we'd be much better off than under the controlled opposition of (((National Socialism))) or the other such nonsense peddled by people these days.

Supporting feudalism today is a dead end, though. All of today's aristocrats are LARPers. Once removed from their connection with the land and with martial heroism, they become nothing more than expensive decorations. It's a lot better to support a peasants revolt as a catabolic agent to expose the shoddy foundations of a decaying system.
