Guys, we're doing pretty well here, free from the Papist mod mafia. We've grown significantly in the last few months, and now we're slowly but surely catching up to /christian/, with 1/2 to 1/3 of the traffic. Of course, /christian/ still has the large advantage of being the biggest Christian board, but because so many Protestants and Orthodox left the discussion there, it has become stale, cringey, and a Papist circlejerk - so not a very attractive board.

Our mission is very simple, don't partake in the discussion there, not even to bash Papists. Just, whenever you can, go there and link back to this board in as many threads as possible. For example:

"This board is heavily censored by the Papist mods, for a free discussion go to:

>>>/christianity/

>>>/baptist/

>>>/orthodox/

"

Remember to use sage so the mods don't notice that the threads are being bumped.

Only a free discussion is the path towards theological truth. Let's make /christianity/ the #1 Christian board on 8chan!

God bless you all!

>Just, whenever you can, go there and link back to this board in as many threads as possible

Don't do this unless people are actually already asking about bans and deletions, and don't say anything that could be perceived as spiteful.

>no censorship at >>>/christianity/

We are not angry at /christian/ posters. We are not an anti Roman Catholic board either, we just want to peacefully provide a place for unimpeded Christian discussion. Those mods can do whatever they want with their discord community.

>For a free discussion go to:

/baptist/ is beyond dead

/orthodox/ is extremely slow

I don't really see the use of denominational boards, there's not a large enough userbase to sustain them. Recurring threads on this board seem like a better solution imo

Debate is necessary to establish what the passage of scripture means in the first place.

You can't just point to one verse out of its context and say "yup, that's how it be."

Not to mention that we don't even begin to see any power play from the bishop of Rome until around the 3rd century.

Jesus spoke in Aramaic. We can see Aramaic in the actual Bible (like when Jesus cries out to the Father). Petros is Kephas translated.

>There are various arguments used against the Catholic understanding of Matthew 16:18, but all are difficult to argue in favor of. First of all, Jesus had just gathered all His disciples, and He chose to change Peter's name alone, (Abraham also had his name changed, and he was also called called the "rock" (Isaiah 51:1-2)–one argument used against Peter being the foundation of the Church is how 1 Corinthians 3:11 refers to Jesus as the foundation. This is false precisely because the Apostles are also called twelve foundations (Apocalypse 21:14). What this means is that all authority comes from Christ, the Church itself comes from Christ.

>Well, Peter's authority comes from Christ. He established these things on Peter, so what's setup on Peter is a foundation on Christ, that does not mean He didn't establish an office which would be the rock on which the Church is built. He gives His keys (Apocalypse 3:7, Apocalypse 1:18) to Peter, as it was prophesied in Isaiah 22:22. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, (John 10:14) but He gives that responsibility to Peter also (John 21-15-17), to say that he then points to Peter and calls him "little rock" (Petros is the masculine version of Petra, the reason Petros is used and not Petra (In Aramaic it was "thou art Kephas and upon this Kephas) is to preserve the play on words, not to indicate that Jesus called him little rock) and point to Himself and says "upon this rock" makes no sense, as right after, He gives Him the keys which He possesses (Apocalypse 3:7, Apocalypse 1:18, Apocalypse 9:1, Apocalypse 20:1, prophesied in Isaiah 22:22), and if you pay attention to the wording, it's indicating an office that is established, not something that passes away with Peter.

>Understanding what the Keys are and Isaiah 22:22 indicate infallibility, and, again, we literally just have to point to early Popes like Leo the Great to see what Papal infallibility/Supremacy is. And you completely ignore the fact that Luke 22 is about which Apostle is the greatest, and Jesus affirm Peter, and He prays for Him alone. That's not a mistake. There's a strife among the Apostles as to who is the greatest, Jesus responds by saying His Kingdom is not like that of the Gentiles, describing its structure. He says that Satan has desired to sift all the Apostles (plural) but He has prayed for Peter (singular, also the person who has the Keys), alone, that his faith fail not.

>This is the unfailing faith of the office of Prime Minister of the New Israel. Whatever He binds on Earth, obviously cannot be false in Heaven, therefore, someone in Peter's Chair cannot make a false teaching Ex Cathedra. And do you believe that those who wrote the Bible wrote infallibly? If so, it's not far-fetched to say He can give the Prime Minister infallibility under certain circumstances.

Bit of a weird one guys, I just got perma banned from /christian/ due to 'heresy'. I have never seen such a ban before. The last time I checked, the board was for all Nicene Christians, not just Caths. So why am I getting perma banned for counter-signalling specifically Rome's Marian dogmas? At this point they should just ban everyone who is not in communion with Rome and rename the board /Catholic/ to get rid of the ambiguity. Ridiculous. >>>/christianity/ is definitely the board of the future

People are mad because good places for Christian fellowship on the internet are sparse and another has been ruined by a biased and arbitrary moderation team who are only interested in propagating Catholicism. Reddit is shit, all the mid 2000s style forums are dead and wont come back. Facebook is trash for this sort of thing and nobody should use it anyway. Twitter is full of feds, grifters, 'Tradcaths' and other christian LARPers who are professional shitposters trying to build 'brands'. So, people are angry for good reason - especially as /christian/ used to actually be good.

>>9543

Cathposters in my experience have always been the most uptight and humorless posters out of all denoms - when you counter-signal Rome, Caths act as if you've personally threatened their family. Their arch-seriousness causes a lack of appreciation for the sublime ironies and comedies embedded within God’s handiwork, and generally makes them not fun to hang around. Still love them though, and hope they can lighten up a bit in the future

This. So much this. If the ridiculous Catholics want to create a total hugbox with no discussion of doctrine, let them. This board should be your place to post, boards on 8chan typically die due to word filters, but bad moderation kills them just as good. We just have to be patient and stop posting on /christian/.

My advice is just focus on building a nice board here preferably with less talking about the other board or just endless Catholic bashing. I understand most people have come here because of the unfair treatment over at /christian/, but this board is now becoming decently popular. I don't think there is any need to have to overtake that. Let tutor and his cult run that board.
