They ban anything even remotely related to the occult or spiritual warfare. Which is pretty silly considering how prominent that is in the NT.

anyways, care to give a breif summary/review of the book for those of us who haven't read it yet? Sounds interesting.

its written by the late exorcist Gabriele Amorth. He explains a lot about the demonic and his experiences in being an exorcist. I find it interesting how despite the church attempting to be more modern, many people in the church still take the phenomenon of demonic possession very seriously. a lot of the stuff in the book seem a bit far fetched to me though, he says yoga is demonic and that other people can curse you which im not too sure about, but its all very interesting.

I don't know about other people having the power to curse you, but the notion of yoga (and non-prayer meditative practices in general) making you susceptible to demonic influence definitely isn't new at least (pic related talks about such phenomena quite a bit). I don't know how risky such practices realistically are, but Fr. Rose's teachings certainly give me enough pause from ever considering to engage in such things again. I'd rather be wrong and safe, than gamble with spiritual repercussions. After all, the greatest trick the devil ever played, was convincing people he wasn't there.

yes. imagine banning spiritual discernment when our blessed lord Jesus was the chief exorcist

This is what bemuses me about their policy over there. It is clear that demons and unclean spirits are very active in the world, and Christians now talk about this less than ever. Surely it would be beneficial to have these conversations?

the answer they gave me back then was that i should not focus on it (which i partly agree) and focus on salvation and "the good stuff". to ban people for posting it is still ridiculous

suppose an exorcist priest goes that to warn christians about demonic influence. he would be banned

Pffffft. They deleted the thread about comparing Islamic and Christian versions of king Solomon, because that pedophile stole stories about him enslaving demons and including it in the Koran, which was stated in the thread

No worries, you can in turn have dozens of autistic threads about praying on rosary or how much cm sleeves on one's clothes should be to be considered modest.

Yeah, there is this fringe group of blacks who believe God is a black woman, they have YT videos and the reasons and studied backing why they believe this are silly. It's as amusing as the people who worship google.
