So I've bought a lot of books about satanism and some books about magic, i'm a Christian but i wanted to read those books to not be ignorant of evil. Since the world is practicing satanism i want to be able to understand what they're actually doing to expose it, like how 911 was a global ritual to the devil, Saturn, Lucifer, and Sirius.

My family tells me that i shouldn't read those books because that is demons work they're way into our lives, one said that just saying the name of Satan opens doors.

So are they right? or just superstitious?

also if you could recommend me some Christian books (besides the bible) about the topic of opening spiritual doors, it would be very helpful.

I've been haunted since puberty. Reading books on it as an adult only allowed me to recognize it. Not that I'd trust any new age stuff. Most of it is pseudo-intellectualism.

That's looking for knowledge you arent supposed to have like wanting the apple, undue curiosity. What you need to know is what exorcist say and not what satanists say which is packed with lies.

I think you can look into this stuff, BUT there are a few cautions I'd give before continuing:

1. Have a firmly rooted foundation in your faith and be more advanced that most people.

2. Before you read, say a prayer like, "Lord, I am studying this because I want to know more about the enemy which I seek to defeat. Guard my eyes, guard my heart, guard my mind, my soul and my spirit and I break off every evil from this in the name of Jesus, Amen."

3. If anything awkward starts to happen, immediately cease reading.

I do think it's alright to know this stuff, but the concern I have is, if you're not careful, it can comeback bad. I knew a guy who tried to exorcise a demon and was possessed himself. So, tread carefully, if at all.
