By the paraffin candles and granny clothes for the laymen, I'd say it's Roman Catholic.

Why does it matter, why not both?

The Catholics have a way of making the liturgy look ugly, even the traditionally beautiful Byzantine rite, which is always done correctly and beautifully in the Orthodox Church. On the other hand, a lot of Western Rite Orthodox Churches do look good aesthetically, but a lot of them are "Byzantined", basically a reverse of the old Latinizations that used to plague Byzantine Catholic churches (and occasionally still do, though not as much anymore since Vatican II). Not all of them are, but a lot are. It's due to the fact that there isn't any real Western Rite Orthodox Church, all Western Rite parishes are under the control of one of the Orthodox jurisdictions (typically either ROCOR or Antioch), but in the Catholic Church there are official "suri iuris" Churches and not all of them are Byzantine rite, quite a few belong to various other rites which have parallels in Oriental Orthodoxy and even the Nestorian Churches.

Also, I should note that Western Rite Orthodox churches only utilize pre-Tridentine Western rite liturgies, so you won't find the Latin Mass in Western Orthodoxy, and you certainly won't find anything close to the laughably bad Novus Ordo. The Divine Liturgy of St. Gregory is used, for example, which you will no longer see in the Latin Catholic Church, although some Western Rite parishes have used the Ambrosian rite which can also be found in some Latin Catholic Churches in Europe.
