In Christ I have found spiritual peace and ease.

I feel good because I follow the rules that God and Jesus laid out for us. The by product of that brings me peace and health.

However I find that walking in the path of Christ, I find Christianity offers little in terms of practical spirituality. Yes, we pray, and we find nourishment from the Word of God and living for his Kingdom. I haven’t felt physical nourishment of peace, only in my spirit.

The only practice that got me to that tranquility is practicing Breath Meditation as taught by Siddartha Gautama. His teachings actually had delivered practical and tangible results, at least in my body.

His technique isn’t even dogma or occult, it simply to observe the Breathe of life. The Same Breath that God gave to Man. “Ye shall know them by their fruits” is awfully similar to the notion of karma (not Hindu karma) which simply means action (causality).

The parable of the sower (Matthew 13) touches on causality the essence of karma.

I digress.

I know Ecclesiastes has some profound verses that touches on impermanence, and has some practical truths and observations on our existence as humans on Earth.

Does Christ offer a teaching that is practical ans as physical nourishing as Siddartha’s Breath meditation?

Matthew's ironic because it says results are all that matter but the sermon on the mount does the opposite of provide good results. This is actually a common technique in ancient documents, to warn about people doing exactly what you're doing to throw the scent off yourself.

Thanks for responding.

Can you explain these further?

See this here. This is actually a very good warning against people who want to screw you over. The sermon on the mount does exactly that, screws you over with its cucked teachings.

Christianity is about salvation first. Then peace. There is a slight difference. Peace is sort of putting the cart before the horse, if you will. Keep salvation - that is, Jesus himself - in mind and the rest shall follow. I would even go so far as to say that our religion is only for the desperate, thirsty, weary, and troubled - for people who know fully well that they need a savior, and who can't bring our own peace. Knowing that we need salvation in the first place is the first step to even being a Christian. Then always keeping that in mind as well - that you were dragged from the point of desperation, from hell itself. This in itself keeps one humble and merciful - and yes, peaceful - towards others.

But anyhow. We find all of our "practical" day to day peacefulness within the person of salvation of himself - Jesus. It's not a state of mind, but a focus on the Lord.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Christ offers so much. Our Father speaks to us all. Continue to seek. You are doing so very well already, it is apparent. You are blessed. Keep it up, all good things. He gives ONLY good things when you seek Him. Do not forget Him.

>Does Christ offer a teaching that is practical ans as physical nourishing as Siddartha’s Breath meditation?

>When thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret.

Matthew 6:17-18

>And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

Luke:33-35

>Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful hymns unto him with psalms.

Psalm 95:2

>My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee.

Psalm 5:3

>And Jesus often withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

Luke 5:16

>I will meditate also of all thy work.

Psalm 77:12

>Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord

Colossians 3:16

>Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:5-7

>Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:53

>Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:28-29

>For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:8-11

>We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

That's just high quality hedonism. No, Christ's teaching is himself.

There is no "thing to be done" but communicating with Christ is both the Way and the "purpose".

>The eternal catholic acrobatics about the sermon of the mount

Let's hope Christ is not throwing us off with a "cucked" narrative when he saved the people who abandoned him.
