I don't understand the part of Christianity that says to forgive your enemy. Because I'm suspected of a crime and the people that were there weren't forgiving me, including security guards and cops. Lawyers I've talked to who didn't want to help me weren't forgiving me. And if I'm convicted the judge is not forgiving me. So it all seems like bulls— to me. Like for some reason the forgiving of one's enemies only applies to me or what? Only way it might make sense to me is if I'm alone with God and my outer world is an illusion he created for me, which would mean he wrote the Bible for me, in which case discussing this topic online is meaningless because you're all an illusion.

What does the State have to do with Jesus? Why are you expecting them to follow Jesus? As Jesus said, "my kingdom is not of this world". The world is no better than you are.

Hate is a heavy burden to carry. *You* define someone as "your enemy" and by doing do you give yourself that additional burden of hate (in addition to the burdens your enemy imposed on you already). If said enemy is still a threat then by all means deal with the threat, but don't fall into the sunk cost fallacy and try to right past wrongs.

It's possible for you to forgive wrongs done to you; but if it is a wrong done against a third party, neither you nor I can forgive it, but it is the third party that shall forgive or else not. If you do a wrong to many people, they would all have to individually forgive you in order for nothing to happen, and it's not likely to happen, which is one reason we have a justice system to handle these instances in an impartial manner. Justice treats everyone the same under the law. If it's only a wrong done to me, I can still forgive it however. But if you break the law, it's not in my authority to forgive that.

Lastly, Jesus told us in Matthew 18:

>35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

And also

>For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Yes, it is. Man was not made for the Sabbath.

>"my kingdom is not of this world"

That's interesting, but as for the rest of your post that's not really what the Bible says, is it? According to pic related my enemies are "doing God's work", just as I'm sure they think themselves.
