Ironically, Tertullian himself became a victim, not of just the pagans or Romans, but even the "Church" he gave so much to. Branded a heretic to this day, simply for believing the Holy Spirit's gifts were still given (a Charismatic, if you will….which is amusing, since Catholics are now open to this).
