Just a hot take, the reason that a gay shouldn't allowed to work, in or take part in the church is this. It's an takes one sexuality as defining ones being. In any case this isn't kosher, regardless of sexual preference. It's not a biblical way, identifying with such things. Reproduction is natural, and needed but such things are to be practiced with restraint, ritual, and intention beyond simply pleasure. Sex isn't evil, but desire of any kind taking the forefront of somebodies life is destructive, including sex. It shouldn't be a pillar, it more of a seed literally. When one takes it as necessary garment to wear to feel natural, this is destructive. So, yes people of any sexuality obviously aren't sinners to simply mentally deviate from the norm. But identification with such things is just fundamentally flawed. It shaky ground that has to be fixed before moving forward spiritually. I think I over wrote this, so my bad. But yes, being gay is okay, but living any sexuality has to be tempered by wisdom.

What is ok is having temptations, they should not see themselves as gays, our temptations dont define us.
If they choose to identify as gay its like a state of unrepentance. They then seek appeasement and revolution from the church and God instead of repentance and conformity to His will.

It doesn't matter if you're gay or if you struggle with temptation. Accept Christ and repent of your ways, God may even love you the more because He knows just how arduous your road is. There is not a single person that is beyond salvation. Accept Christ and mend your broken spirit little by little.
