From Psalm 110, first verse.
>The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
When I think of this passage together with these, I feel recourse in myself.
(Luke 22:69)
>Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
(Matthew 26:64)
>Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
I know that these things have to happen before all of this is over. It's just as Psalm 110 says. Therefore I think so many things happening are of comparative unimportance. Another Psalm I recall brings strength, which is from Psalm 37.
>Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
>Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
>For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
>For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
And this also is an uplifting passage for me. Thirdly and lastly, the verse of the Psalms foremost for me is Psalm 91:4.
>He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
This reminds me also of Proverbs 30:5-6.
>Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
>Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
It also says in Psalm 84:11 that "the LORD God is a sun and shield".
