And allows Catholics to receive communion from them. Isn't that bizarre? They're schismatics (a mortal sin) so they commit sacrilege every time the receive the Eucharist.

No because all of their sacraments are valid the same as ours. It is still only supposed to be used in rare cases. This is one of those concessions Francis has been making in some futile attempt to mend the schism.
