What’s up Christanons?

How do you deal with existential doubts and anxieties? Like the constant worries about Christianity not being true. I’ve done a lot of research and have had spiritual experiences and have no reason to not be a Christian. And yet I still have doubts. Whenever I try to follow Christ, my anxiety issues make it hard. These doubts have even led to me falling away twice last year, which is my biggest regret in life right now. I have been praying more and reading the Bible every day, which has helped, but how do I eliminate the constant doubt and anxiety fully?

I have no doubts Christianity is true because I've looked waaay too much into exorcism. I mean, that's more than enough proof for me.

Watch Adam Blai here, he was a psychology student who decided to accompany priests to exorcisms and converted of course.

Now, my biggest problem is that worldly problems occupy my thoughts too much and I don't think about God a lot. Consequently, I don't really go to church or to confession.

Tbh, I have no idea. I mean, the Orthodox too have the Apostolic authority that Blai talks about in the video, their priests are just as valid as Catholic priests so I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be able to do them. Now, do they do it in the same extent as Catholics? No idea.

Oh, we do, big time.

As an eastern euro, i always believed CATHOLICS were the ones that stopped doing the whole exorcism thing.

Can you share some of the other things you've read/watched? I agree that studying demonic possession makes Christianity seem absolutely true but I haven't found many good resources. This book was a pretty good introduction but I want more.

Yes, and it's led to me becoming more self loathing and degenerate. I've put off being confirmed into the church because of my going back and fourth.

Well, whether Christianity is true really depends on what you have in your pocket. Do you have £1.70 or 7 embossed metallic discs? I would say you have both; reductionism is a fools errand because it ignores the values we ascribe to the world around us, treating them as merely secondary, when in fact they are essential. The fact that Christ treats us accordingly I think shows the depth of his insight; that we are to believe in Him and through that belief in Him we come to believe in ourselves.

Just thought I'd mention it since fedoraism has become a big cause of doubt for many, and it is reductionist.
