It says "call no man YOUR father upon the earth", and in the KJV the word "you" is plural, while "thee/thou" is singular. Jesus was talking to "the multitude, and to his disciples" (Matthew 23:1), and because He used the plural form instead of the singular we know that He is talking about multiple people all calling one man who is not their father, "Father" as a title.

Ok let me try to explain this again because you obviously didn't get it. Jesus commanded A GROUP to not call one man their collective father. THAT GROUP has one Father who is in heaven, to call a man the father of THAT GROUP would be to put him in the position of God as the Father of a group of people not related by blood. It has nothing to do with calling your biological father by what he is, because in doing so you're not placing him in the position of God you're just calling a spade a spade.

When Catholics call the Pope Holy Father, they are paying respect to the institution, they are not considering the Pope 1:1 with God, the Father.
