>Look I don't mind if you have Blind Faith, but pushing it as the standard is unbiblical.
Well, we should believe it no matter.. but at the same time, this wasn't even an issue of faith once. It simply was accepted, as far as the when and where. You see Elijah the Prophet later hole himself up on Mt Sinai, as he prayed and retreated from the people. The location was still fresh in the minds of people that he knew where to go. And to me, it seems to make the Sinai in Arabia theory seem stranger.. that's OVER a thousand miles, full of obstacles, away from Israel. I suppose if Elijah was determined enough, he'd make that trek.. but then I wonder why Israelites were generally secluded in their history. You don't see them making 1000+ treks in any direction for awhile. There's no stories of them traisping about the world this far. Usually the other parts of the world came to them instead (with fully supplied armies).
I'm not here to push the traditional location necessarily, but when I see evangelicals push the Saudi location "because the one in Egypt doesn't feel special" (like the guys in that doc say, I think), I think that's pretty stupid. Their feelings don't matter. I also think they usually create conspiracies about anything from the past (Sinai was discovered by St. Helena.. Constantine's mother). Lots of bogeyman talk once you get Byzantines or Romans involved.
