The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

>The Sages taught: During the tenure of Shimon HaTzaddik, the lot for God always arose in the High Priest’s right hand; after his death, it occurred only occasionally; but during the forty years prior to the destruction of the Second Temple, the lot for God did not arise in the High Priest’s right hand at all. So too, the strip of crimson wool that was tied to the head of the goat that was sent to Azazel did not turn white, and the westernmost lamp of the candelabrum did not burn continually.

And the doors of the Sanctuary opened by themselves as a sign that they would soon be opened by enemies, until Rabban Yoḥanan ben Zakkai scolded them. He said to the Sanctuary: Sanctuary, Sanctuary, why do you frighten yourself with these signs? I know about you that you will ultimately be destroyed, and Zechariah, son of Ido, has already prophesied concerning you: “Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars” (Zechariah 11:1), Lebanon being an appellation for the Temple.

How can Jews reject such a clear sign that Jesus was in fact the Messiah? It's right there in front of their eyes. And can it be used as an argument againts atheists?

>And can it be used as an argument againts atheists?

how so?

As a way of showing Jesus to be true. We have:

>OT prophecies to show, that coming of Jesus was foretold ages before it happened

>pagan historians to show that Jesus existed and was killed

>pagan writings about unexpected solar eclipse and archeological evidence of an earthquake during that time

>apostles who, with their actions and words, show that Jesus rose from the dead

The fact that Talmud has information that links Jesus (40 years before Temple was destroyed is about the time Jesus started His ministry) with the end of Temple judaism would be yet another sign of our religion being true. It would also add symetry to the signs - pagans have solar eclipse and an earthquake, Jews have the Temple

>implying that atheists care about facts

f115df  No.739097

Everyone knew Christ was the Messiah, people just rejected them. He literally raised people from the dead, including himself.

Pharisees and Saducees felt abandoned by God when Christ opened the covenant to all nations, that is, they felt that God turned away from them so it was their turn to turn away from God.

They ought to have done a deal with the Devil. Wheter in person or not, it does not matter.

Albeit atheists say they base their position on le facts and le logic they clearly don't. So arguing with them about the nature of Logos and Ethics or about the historicity of the Bible will get you nowhere. You might convince a few people in the crowd, but it's because recruiting is easier than converting.

How you "convince" an atheist is by destroying the fundamentals of his beliefs. One the validation of claiming he has no emotions only le facts and le logic. How you do that is by mocking his assumptions, materialism and nominalism have no backing of Logos and neither can they provide any real backing of Absolute Truth. Don't let them trick you as they trick themselves.

They want to have this logical system that does not ask any questions about Logics itself, say this to them.

By comparing their position with pagan sects they find silly, I have found great success. Evolution is totemism, the green movement is Gaia worship, the Big Bang is hellenic uncreated matter, etc.

Another fundamental pillar is the validation of having the culturally popular opinion, how you destroy this is by going all-out culture war. It's very simple, and it's a very masculine thing to do. Few words and very forceful, as you push your worldview as the mainstream and the acceptable one. Call them old-fashioned and an useful idiot, as they are.

>implying Jesus’s death caused the temple itself to rebel against the Jewish people

How much you wanna bet this is the one passage zionists don’t want Goyim to see, since this would basically show that Christ’s sacrifice truly makes the second temple obsolete, much less a third, which is the whole reason gentiles support Israel in the first place. And even if it is so the Antichrist can use it to proclaim himself as God and everything, why the pooh would you want to help Satan kill millions of true believing Christians and give Isreal a reason to drop their facade and act openly like the Talmud tells them to?

Because the teachings of Jesus makes them give up their own teachings of superiority

>But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. (Matthew 5)

Contrast that with

>Sanhedrin 58b: Rabbi Ḥanina says: A gentile who struck a Jew is liable to receive the death penalty, as it is stated when Moses saw an Egyptian striking a Hebrew: “And he turned this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he struck the Egyptian and hid him in the sand” (Exodus 2:12). And Rabbi Ḥanina says: One who slaps the cheek of a Jew is considered as though he slapped the cheek of the Divine Presence; as it is stated: “It is a snare [mokesh] for a man to rashly say [yala]: Holy” (Proverbs 20:25). The verse is interpreted homiletically to mean: One who strikes [nokesh] a Jew is considered as though he hurt the cheek [lo’a] of the Holy One.
