The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Why do Baptists trigger /christian/ so much?

The same reason Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants trigger /Christian/ so much. Interdenominational trolling and shitposting. We need more unity around here.

No, there's altogether too much false unity, we need less of it

Go make your own board then.

Because they are clearly and demonstrably wrong, have been shown to be so countless times but keep being obstinate in their error with a smugness comparable to fedora atheists.

I love Protestants and Baptists, and have no problem with them when we talk about topics like the degeneracy of the modern world, issues of other religions and ideologies, or just fellowship etc. I love a lot of worship music and think that there are some fantastic people who are Baptists in general. The issue comes when Baptists on this board try to talk theology which is third rate nonsense, and they just can't continue on a halfway decent argument, because their positions are really bad. I can imagine it's hard being taught one thing for most of your life and then when confronted with a lot of evidence, what do you do?

When they fail to be able to respond to arguments they just seem to lurk around and throw in "muh papist" shots in absolutely random threads. Some of the more extreme Baptists, after being so frustrated at losing theology arguments, convert to Eastern Orthodoxy, just so they can insulate themselves a bit better from arguments, while continuing to be Protestants at heart and railing on "papists". Laughably even saying Eastern Orthodoxy has "far more in common" with Protestanism than Catholicism :D

I can understand their reaction, I'm very glad I was born Catholic, but well it is what it is. We can't just allow D grade theology and apologetics to run around. That's partly why America in general has such a twisted and weird view of Christianity.

Protestants have a lot more resources and talented people in the states especially and are producing great stuff like The Bible Project on YouTube for example. Lots of great people but we have to guide them to the straight and narrow.

Baptists aren't Christians according to the rules of this board. It should be considered an act of charity that every Baptist isn't banned here.

SPBP

"Unity" is the old ecumenism trick. They water down doctrine until there isn't much difference left, and then bribe some corrupt leader to go into communion with Rome. Your souls don't matter to the atheistic papists, only your church fees.

Yes they are.

Many of them deny the Nicene creed for example

I have never met a Baptist that denies the Nicene Creed. Memes aren’t reality.
